Sheraton Muenchen Arabellapark Hotel

Travelling on business this was just the type of hotel needed, and after arriving late at night I was quickly in my room ready for shut-eye. Comfortable rooms and a huge choice at the buffet breakfast means that I'll certainly be using this hotel again in future.

Overall, our stay was good - with staff always ready to assist with a smile whether they are from the reception, concierge or even at the restaurant. We've got the Executive Room on the 17th floor, though there is nothing much to brag about the city view but the spacious room itself was a delight. The location is not at the heart of the city centre but it's a few metro stop away, and if you drive it's about 10-15min away. We would suggest to drive if you would only be in the city centre for a short while (as parking could cost about 3+euros/hr), if not just grab a taxi as it would cost about 15-20euros/per trip. For those who are driving into Munich, Sheraton is an excellent choice as it has ample parking space, and if you are lucky, you may be able to park along the street which do not cost anything (or rather we don't see the meter around).

Upon departure, we realised that we've left our passports at the hotel and immediately called the hotel for assistance. I was told to get a call back after the housekeeping were to check the room, after an hour or so, there wasn't any call back and hence I've made the call again, and this time I was told that they would call me back again in 10min - I've got the call 20min later. I have asked about the procedures to courier the documents back and was told with confusing processes, and when the 1st female agent passed the phone to a 2nd male agent, I have to repeat the same story over again about requesting of the processes. To my surprise, the 2nd agent was giggling and not giving me a clear support either and I was put on hold again. Finally a 3rd female agent picked up but yet to my surprise again she responded that she just came to work and have no idea what was happening so I have to repeat the story all over again. Fortunately, this agent was much more responsible and provided clear assistance, ensure to follow up almost daily and provide alternative options should we not be able to fax our details immediately. We would like to commend Elisabeth Stegschuster (Guest Service Center Agent) for her dedicated support and redeemed our faith in Sheraton Hotel after the prior surprises from her colleagues.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Sheraton. Firstly, we were put into a smoking room which we had not requested. We went down to reception and were changed immediately. The room was nice, pool area was lovely, as were the staff. Would stay here again.

We were a bit concerned about the hotel's age and non-central location. But it turned out fine. A well-maintained facility, with gracious and efficient staff and a very good breakfast buffet. Rooms were snug but clean, comfortable, and quiet. Easy access by UBahn to most points of interest. We also liked being in a residential area -- there's a good supermarket nearby, several bakeries and restaurants, and not just tourists in the area.

Although from the outside it looks like it won industrial concrete magazine awards 1962 . DO not be put off as has been refurbed inside rooms lovely had 2 on 12th floor mine balcony. Staff very friendly helpful food very nice and you can get uban ticket there . The subway is super easy to use so not a problem being slightly outside munich. The pool sauna spa all very nice with super views however pool is on the cooler side must be a german thing and not what we would expect in uk popped over road to look at westin as opposite nearly stayed there again very nice but food overpriced so stay here instead. Lots little bakeries and bars surrounding hotel

A great hotel-- especially enjoyed the platinum upgrade and lounge. The pool and spa area is nice as well and included in your room booking. There is a large REWA (grocery store) and mini shopping center very close to the hotel and the bus, tram and metro lines are also very close. Be warned though that the metro stops running pretty early in the evening and twice we got stuck coming home from sightseeing. Once we took the tram instead and once we were forced to take a taxi. The hotel is kinda in the middle of no where and takes a while to reach. Bathrooms and bed were clean and very comfortable. Lots of hot water and good pressure.

Apart from the fact that the Sheraton Munich Arabellapark Hotel is located far away from both the city center and the airport, this is a top notch place to spend a night in Munich.

The hotel itself is located in a business park and the first time I had some difficulties finding it even with clear instructions and a map. Inside it is what you expect from a Sheraton, nothing less, nothing more.

The exercise room is decent, event if it could use some renovation. The spa looks awsome!

The breakfast was very nice but the price would have been too much for me if it was not included in my package.

In short, if you do not mind beeing far away from the city center and are ready to plan 1h30 to 2h00 to get to the airport, this is a sure bet.
