“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012 via mobile

I got a room at the 6th floor the lift arrive only to the 5th floor.
The room was huge, its a kind of suite. Old but good function.
There is no air condition but there is a ceiling fan.
The stuff was wonderfull and helpfull.
The garage is so small and the smell is terrible so if there is parking outside its better. Also the garage price is not cheaper.
The price was good for a otel in the center of the city.

What a wonderful little hotel. Fantastic location and fantastic hosts. Each morning they have a really wonderful breakfast set up. Lots of fresh and dried fruits, meats and cheeses, cereals, yogurts and various breads. The hotel also makes its own preserves which are scrumptious. The location is a very comfortable walk to the any of the central locations. In fact, my husband and I never used our car or the public transportation. The only issue we had was that we had a room on the front on the hotel and unfortunately there were a few nights of loud 20 somethings partying across the street and at the local little pub just 2 doors down. As there is no air conditioning in the rooms, we needed to have the windows open (we were there in first week of June). With the windows closed, they blocked out all of the noise. If we go back to Munich, we will stay at this hotel again...we will just ask for a room in the back. OH...and should you want the best pizza in Munich...just step right around the block to Nero! (ask at the front desk and they will give you directions)

Room Tip: If you go in summer and want the windows open, ask for a room off the courtyard.

The service at the Hotel Admiral was very inviting and played no small part in making our experience in Munich that much better. The room was very nice for Europe standards, the location was pretty good (6 min walk to the metro and maybe 15 min walk to city center), and the breakfast (!!!) was simply amazing. They put so much effort into meticulously presenting a wonderful way to start our days with incredible pastries, fresh juices, and hand cut varieties of fruit, either in the small dining room or in the quaint charming back courtyard. This is a family run hotel with a few other staff, and they do a wonderful job. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Munich, no point in even considering somewhere else!

A delightful, comfortable and quiet hotel with elegant decor. We stayed one night in room 304 which was at the front but we were not bothered by any street noise. The room was larger than the average hotel room with space for 2 arm chairs and coffee table. The bed was a large double with a split mattress and individual lightweight but warm duvets and huge pillows. There was an additional door between the door into the room and the area where the bed was located, which blocked any noise there may have been from the passage and elevator. The bathroom was small but very clean and functional. The choice of fresh fruit and juice at breakfast was outstanding. Fresh fruit and chocolates were delivered to our room in the evening. The staff were all very efficient and pleasant. On arrival we walked from the central train station area, through Marienplatz - about 30 minutes. When we left we caught the subway (Line S8) to the airport from Isartor station - about a 5-10 minute walk. I would stay here again.

Our requirements were a clean quiet hotel within walking distance of the centre, shops, and attractions and especially with free wifi.
This hotel came right up to the mark. Breakfast had a wonderful selection of fresh seasonal fruit served in a dining room which opened onto the pretty garden.
The room was very comfortable and well decorated, and the view looked out onto trees. Birds song woke us in the morning instead of traffic.
We were able to walk to the Deutch Museum, the centre and English Gardens in minutes.
The staff were very obliging and spoke excellent English.
We would recommend this hotel very highly.

Room Tip: Room 505 is a good room

This is a small hotel located right down the street from the Deutsches Musem in a quiet area. The room was fine with an adequate sized bathroom. We stayed in room 505. The weather was nice the 3 nights we stayed at the hotel so we were able to have our breakfast outside on the patio. That was just lovely. Breakfat included fresh fruit, cheeses, smoked salmon, choice of homemade jams and fresh juices. We were able to take the train or walk everywhere from the hotel. It is easy to get here by train from the airport.

We stayed at the Admiral 2 nights, and will stay another on our way back to Munich. It was a quick train ride from the airport, and then a 2 block walk. Very convenient to the subway system, which is easy to use. The hotel is very clea, with good beds and pillows. It was away from the main tourist areas, and thus was quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. So many fresh fruits, beautifully displayed. There is a German pub at the corner that had a great snitzle and beer diner.

You could walk to the subway and many tourist activities.
