“Not bad but overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Location is really good, 5 minutes from the Hauptbanhof, two U-bahn and S-bahn stations literally in two steps, with all lines available. The room was good, though not very big. The downside is the price - we payed 200 euros per 1 night in January 2013, so I reckon in high season prices are even higher. Very odd that you have to pay 4 euros extra per 1 device for 24h wifi - in 2013 and with this room price is quite strange.

Room Tip: Superior double has a sofa - nice

Pros:
- Location - right near the railway station and close to the walking center area
- Quietness of the rooms - we had one facing the mountains (we could see them from our 6th floor!) and it was very quiet.
- Space in the room, it was large (we had a deluxe one)
- Parking was available (2 blocks away), but the hotel provided a discount - 10EUR instead of 25EUR for 24H, it was a real bargain given the prices in the area.

Cons:
- The room was VERY basic, basic shelves to store our things, no fridge, no kettle. The rooms our parents had (regular ones) were tiny, but had floor heating - ours didn't. Also, the TV was tiny for the size of our room.
- The cleaning was irregular. We had a DND sign on the room till 1pm, then changed it to "clean the room" and after that no cleaning was made. The other day we left the "clean the room" sign on the handle from 9am and no cleaning was made again (though they cleaned our parents' rooms without any signs)! No shampoo/gel in the shower, just tiny packets provided daily.
- The breakfast didn't vary at all and was very typical continental breakfast
- The wifi cost some outrageous prices (like 12EUR/day) and the DL speed was less than 5 kb/s! We couldn't even download the video, had to use the mobile connection to watch the video we needed on youtube.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel only for it's location, it's very close to the shopping and walking areas.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms facing the rear.

we have been in this hotel 3 nights, very good location, good price, good quality, staff very friendly, very good breakfast. Only one thing, you have to pay extra to have wifi internet connection in your room, which I found non sense, in year 2012! Also we had to pay extra for breakfast, why don't you include it in the price?

Room Tip: We asked for a room one step more than basic, and it was really comfortable, big and silent

Simple city hotel, but very comfortable and clean. I selected this hotel because the location is absolutely perfect. Right between Karlzplatz (Stahus) and the Main Train Station, you are within walking distance from all the main attractions in the city center (Marienplatz), and also have perfect access to all means of transportation which are almost outside the door (Metro, trains, trams, bussses, taxis, even bike lanes). Even though the room was on the side of the main street (Bayerstrasse), it was very quiet. Only two small remarks, one is that it could have a fridge, even though it was could enough outside so I stored refreshments out the window on the ledge, and that the internet access was not free and a bit expensive. Overall, it is an excellent choice for the location and a good value for money comparing to other hotels in the area. I would stay there again.

The hotel is very simple and small, but clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast is basic but alright, and the staff is lovely. The rooms are ok in size, as well as the bathroom. Best thing is the location, it is within walking distance of Marienplatz, and the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). I enjoyed staying in that hotel with my kids for four days. It is ideal if you want something city centre, basic, but clean and comfortable.
If you have a car, the garage is a two blocks away, so it feels very long when you have luggage.
Make sure to have a room with an inner hot view, it is much quitter, as the street is a very busy one and usually till very late.

Location is really good from the train station and you could find a lot of restaurants and shopping centers nearby, and also the old town is quite close.
The wireless internet is really good although not free. We use it to watch Olympic at night.
Room is small, but clean and standardized as a good business and tourism hotel.
Although it is close to the main street, but not noisy at night due to the seamless window probably.

Great staff, very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Easy to communicate with all members of staff as all spoke fluent English. Hotel is in great location near stations, city centre and Oktoberfest venue. Room was quiet and well-equipped, bed large and comfortable, bathroom very modern and spacious. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Request room away from road.
