“Not a good choice!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

OK, it's a known brand, but the service is so poorly it's not worth it. I've stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was my only option when I was looking for a reasonable price. It's very far from Downtown (but there's a train station you can walk to) in a Munich business area. The air conditioning does not work and and the bathroom is ridiculous, I can't understand how someone can take a shower there! But the worst is the reception support: they're not friendly, they don't smile and they're not interested in helping you. They are like robots doing the basics, it's sad!

The hotel was great and we had a great summer price for the family. The staff was very friendly and the special for dinner was really good for a family on a budget. I suppose the only complaint was the indoor pool was very cold.

Stayed here for 5 nights spread over three different trips in the last 6 weeks. All very good experiences, the hotel is functional, everything works and where it should be. The breakfast is good quality, with fresh pastries every morning. A nice touch is the free beer and water in the mini bar. To get free WiFi simply join their loyalty programme at the desk when you arrive.
Worked one day in the hotel and was well looked after with the room being serviced at a pre-agreed time, with a well presented lunch.
Lots of business people mixed in with the odd holiday coach group.
Watch your check-out as this time of the day can get very busy.
A solid, value for money, reliable hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights in Jul and found the place to be really good for the price paid. It is slightly outside the city center but S-bahn station is just 5min walk and the location also granted the quieter environment.

The shower room was great with bath-tub and this hotel supports the environment by encouraging guests to hang the towel if they do not require fresh change. I like the toiletries, especially the shower gel and shampoo tubes. I find the packaging very hygienic. The hotel also has in-door pool and sauna. I didn't make use of this facility but it's a good thing to have if the weather is not encouraging outdoor exploration.

The room gets plenty of sun-light from the big windows. Room is also equipped with water boiler which makes it easy to prepare cups of tea/coffee. The tv screen is big enough and I especially like the fact that it has a clock on the bottom corner. With tourists arriving from all the different time zones, this clock with alarm function is very helpful. There are also plenty of tv channels to choose from with numerous English channels.

I love the hearty breakfast! Muesli, yogurth, breads, varieties of cheese, meat, etc. etc. Service was good too in the restaurant. The only downside is probably the lack of free internet. Not in the room and not even in the lobby area. Not even a station for free use. During travel, I want to unplug as much as possible but there was once I had wanted to check out some Munich attractions and find it disappointing that the hotel does not have such facility. I definitely would not pay for the room internet just to check out one item.

Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to those who seek peaceful night sleep in Munich.

Stayed with family (two adults and one child) for two nights and used the hotel as hub for a short visit to Munich.

The location was no problem for us. The U- and S-station is not even 5 min walk from the hotel and price of transportation is very good - 10.20 EUR for a 1-day partner ticket, which will provide transportation for the whole family. Not much around the hotel, but there are a few coffee places, a supermarket and two restaurants. A very quiet neighborhood.

The hotel itself and the room were nice and clean - nothing to complain about.

The pool is rather small (and for me a bit cold). Very oddly we discovered the first time we went, that if you want access your room key card has to be programmed to give access. I don't get why not put it as default, since it's for free anyway? Or at least ask upon check-inn.

As a Le Club member we also had to discover all the benefits ourself. A small sign next to the main entrance listed benefits like free internet etc, which you might not notice the first time when you are loaded with luggage. Given that I provided my member number upon booking I think it would have been a nice gesture to just present these benefits when checking in. I think most people nowadays use internet for their computer or phone, so to ask if I wanted free internet would have been nice.

Otherwise we have no complains and would certainly use it another time when visiting Munich.

We stayed 3 nights and unfotunately the first night we arrived there was no hot water. However it was fixed by the morning and we were 'looked after' by the manager.
There are a lot of tour groups who use this hotel which make breakfast time very busy. But breakfast was great. Such a wide selection.
It is a little out of town but a short walk to the bus stop, about 4 or 5 stops on the bus brings you to the undergound which with German precision is there in about 2 minutes. It was a lot quieter being out in the suburbs too.
