“Not a bad hotel, but Oktoberfest rate was not worth the quality of the hotel.”
Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

Visited Munich for the Oktoberfest and thought this rate would be a nice quality place. However when we got there the air conditioner was broken, their neighbor was a cement company (who would wake you up in the morning) and the bathroom light was too high that you had to jump to turn it on. (Which is very difficult to do when you are in the middle of your shower.) Please don't get me wrong the location was still nice and the rooms were clean but for 200€/night, I expected much more!!!

We thought the price we paid for 3 nights was okay (€77 per night), but that did not include breakfast or wifi, so not great compared to other cities. The room however was excellent, very spacious and quite modern. We didn't pay extra for breakfast so cannot comment on that aspect. Wifi is not included and for €12 a day, we weren't prepared to pay that. We have not come across a hotel on our travels that charges so much to use wifi.

Easy to find hotel 5 minutes walk from the tram/bus stop especially if you look for the brightly painted youth hostel over the road as it is not that obvious, rather low key. The hotel is a train and a bus ride from Central Station.
We stayed there a week and were very impressed with the facilities. The rooms are a reasonable size, clean with comfortable beds. We had a fridge but no kettle so take your own if you like a cup of tea in the morning.
The breakfasts are very good, plenty of variety, cooked breakfast, continental options, lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal etc; there is even Prosecco.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Internet and parking charge on top of room rate and are quite expensive.
It is possible to walk to the Olympic Stadium from the hotel, about 20 minutes.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel have balconies and are not bothered by traffic noise.

From the reviews, I thought I'd made a mistake staying here, but I don't regret it. On the outside, it's nothing special - perhaps even a bit shady. It's right next to a huge youth hostel, so it has potential to be loud at times, but really wasn't too bad the 3 nights we were there. It claims to be 4 stars, but should really be thought of as a 3.

Rooms are very large, except for the small bathrooms. I see many reviews here berating the bathrooms, and they are very awkwardly arranged, but honestly, who goes to the hotel for the bathroom? If you are one of those people, you should be staying at a much nicer place than this, anyway. Our rooms were just renovated, negating some of the concerns made by others on this site. Breakfast was quite good, contrary to some reviews. If you get the breakfast included in your room price, you'll appreciate it. Parking on site is not bad. Dinner is expensive, so we didn't bother - get on the subway and go downtown.

Tip: Public transport in town is phenomenal. Don't drive, just get a pass for transport for the duration of your visit. Two bus lines and a tram stop just one block from here every minute or two and connect easily to the underground. A family rate exists making it really quite cheap for a whole crew (30euro for 5 adults - kids count as 1/2). Location is a bit north of the main downtown area, but still within the "white circle" of public transport.

Room Tip: The rooms on the side facing the hostel (street side) are cooler, but the rooms on the opposite side...

Very big room, for little money. Arriving at the hotel, you would not think the rooms would be OK, but they are. The breakfast was vert good with a big choice. The extra charged for internet during 24 hours was however very expensive: 12 euro ! Parking is available but also relative l'y expensive.

To tell you a bit more about this hotel - from the outside it looks terrible and at first I thought I made a mistake by choosing it, but the room we had (normal double room) was brand new and very clean. They cleaned it every day and change our towels. It is quiet as well. As for location - we went to Xgames in Olimpiapark so the locaiton was perfect as Vitalis is 15 mins away from the park. If you need to go to the centre you have a 10 minute walk to the Uban and you are 4 stops away from the centre. For prices - we cought some kind of a promotion and to be honest I am not sure if I would have paid the normal prices this hotel has. It is a nice hotel, but definitely not 4 stars.

This hotel looks quite old, also the room smelled "funny". It is quite loud as opposite of the hotel is a youth hostel and the isolation of the windows and the whole building is not up to date. The garage of the hotel is incredibly small and you have to pay 13 Euro for parking per day. If you drive a normal car and not a smart you have big problems parking there, be careful not to damage your car. For breakfast they charge 15 Euro extra, which is not worth it. The selction is lousy, better invest your money in the bakery round the corner. Position of the hotel is ok, you have a tram, bus and metro nearby.
