We stayed in this hotel for three nights during our Christmas holiday. The hotel staff were quite helpful but I can’t say that the hotel was anything spectacular. The free Wi-Fi in the lobby was extremely slow. The rooms were a nice size (we travelled with our two teens). The hotel itself is quite a walk from most attractions, but there is an underground station 5 min away from the hotel. What we didn’t know is that this is a pet friendly hotel, and although travellers with pets will be happy, we didn’t appreciate our neighbour’s dog barking all night. After flying halfway around the world I didn’t enjoy this when trying to sleep. For this reason I will never use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask if there are any floors where no pets are allowed.

Stayed here during Oktoberfest and to say that we got value for money would be a lie but all Hotels at this time of year are overpriced and you don't really have a choice.
Room was basic but clean enough to be acceptable.
The cushions were awful!
Would want to spend to much on a room in times other than Oktoberfest ... during Oktoberfest, you simply don't have a choice.

The front-desk staff were so unhelpful and unwelcoming, we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience by staying there.

The rooms were very basic with only 2 singles, when I'd specified a double. the duvet's and pillows were napkin thin and just thrown on the bed.

The location is good as its in a quieter part of Munich, right by the English garden, so great for a Sunday morning stroll. its easy to get to from the airport via the Train + underground.

That said, I would not recommend staying here at all.

They charged us €100 for a painting that was poorly hung and €50 to Hoover the carpet. Rooms and beds were dirty, no hot water. On the plus side found a Fred Perry shirt in the room. Staff have no sense of humour either. Takes 2 different trains to get into the centre so location not good for boozing.

This hotel is located close to the old center of Munich, in a quiet residential area. I had a large room which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is five minutes walk from the nearest U-Bahn station. I would certainly go back again.

Room Tip: I had a room at the back which was very quiet even with the windows open.

Everything about this hotel was a resounding "meh". The location is okay, a comfortable walk to the nearest station, the English gardens and to the popular Marienplatz. The staff seem decent and police. The rooms are moderately clean but just feel so tired and dated that it bordered on depressing. As many others have mentioned, street cleaning is LOUD and early. I'm a heavy sleeper but couldn't sleep through that. No in-room coffee services though there is in the lobby. Also free WiFi in the lobby only and for one device at a time, which is super annoying. Breakfast is exorbitantly expensive and completely not worth it. All in all, a mediocre hotel.

Positives:
1) Polite staff
2) Close to good restaurants, including local ones
3) Very close to the famous "Surfing the Eisbach" river.
Negatives:
1) No air conditioning during summer! It made our lives a bit difficult
2) Noisy. We got a room facing the street. Deliveries were made very early in the morning to the hotel and our sleep was always interrupted.
3) Wireless wasn't free and did not work properly.
