“Good clean hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in this hotel for one week in the end of August.
Hotel is not located in the center of Munich but you can reach the center by metro or by tram.
Hotel doesn't have any special facilities but it is clean, cosy, with very friendly staff and quite good breakfast.
Room where we stayed was tiny but again very cosy.

I stayed in the property at the start of the recent Oktoberfest festival. Whilst it is a bit of distance to the city centre (30 minutes walk unless using the train) it was only a 10 min walk to Oktoberfest. The rooms although not huge are very clean and above all the service was that of a five star hotel and was its strongest selling point. Being a family run business every request was promptly adhered to without fuss and all staff were very efficient, prompt and courteous. The breakfast room was traditional and quite relaxing. For those looking for a solid mid priced hotel i would definitely recommend this one.........

Room Tip: Rooms off the main road are significantly quieter. Rooms are very basic but clean

We were delayed in getting into Munich from flights and so by the time we arrived our booked hotel room at another hotel had been sold - the Hahn helped us right out. :) We have a three year old and I was coming from the states with our daughter and my hubby was meeting us from Saudi Arabia so you can imagine the frustration! We were exhausted and they were so welcoming and wonderful. We had a nice room, a little small but that's the norm in Europe most of the time. The owners were so gracious and friendly, they recommended wonderful restaurants and gave us maps and directions to all the attractions. We only spent 3 nights, but they made our crazy trip and a rough situation much better! The location was nice, there was a small park within walking distance off the beaten path for my daughter to play at, and the bus and railway are close by for getting around the city. My hubby enjoyed spending time in their small pub and speaking with the owner - we learned so much from them and can't thank them enough for all their help!

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are better. We had a room facing the street and there is a pub next door so it wa...

Very friendly family run hotel decorated in a Bavarian style. Lovely German breakfast with lots of fresh bread, rolls & cold cuts, great coffee!! A little bit out of the main city centre, but is on a direct tram route into the city. Only downside was the room is on the small side & we had to keep the windows shut (in quite hot weather) due to the traffic noise outside.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the main road.

The room was quite comfortable and the staff always friendly and helpful. Not very close to the city center but you can always take a tram. The bathroom had everything it takes. But it wasn't the hotel that was the most important during our Bavaria trip - we were there to see the magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle.

Our family (2 adults, one five year old) stayed here for a couple nights. Maybe we were lucky, in the right place at right time, because we got the family suite on the top floor for the three of us for 70 euros a night. It was one of the largest rooms we had on our Euro road trip and this was great. It was a cross from middle ages barn and 70s/80s decorations. Some people would call it kitsch, but we were amused and entertained. It was definitely unique and added some extra fun to our month long trip.
The staff were very friendly throughout the stay. Liked getting a made to order egg. We liked being able to purchase a tram ticket from the reception and buy great beer in the evening. The free free safe parking (although tight!) on site was great. A local helped us back in... Not sure about the other rooms, but ours was way cool and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed three nights in early July. The most wonderful hotel staff in the 5 places we stayed on our European vacation and they all speak perfect English. One day we were back at the hotel and noticed, oh no, we had left something valuable at the Starbucks near the Hofbrauhaus. The front desk associate helped us by looking up the Starbucks number, calling them and having them hold our item for us. I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but he sure saved the day! At night we enjoyed playing cards with a cold Augustiner-Bräu in the lobby lounge. The place is charming and the rooms are nice and quiet with very comfortable beds. The location is fine, it isn't by the town center, but it is only a short street car ride there. The front desk sells tickets and can sell you a day pass allowing you to ride all public transportation in Munich. We bought a two person pass and saved lots of money. There is a supermarket and a good little cafe next to the closest streetcar stop, Trappentreustraße.
