“A very special place at Christmas”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

I have only ever visited Munich at the end of November and beginning of December to celebrate my birthday and each time I arrive I make my way to Marienplatz where there is the most wonderful Christmas market. Hot chestnuts, mulled wine, chocloate and marzipan bars, wooden toys and all manner of decorations for the tree .... in the evenings it is a fabulous place to be.
In the daytime there is Maximillianstrasse and the streets around it .... shops brimming over with anything and everything you could ever wish for. It really is a shopper's heaven.

“Worth a walk day or night”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Lucky for us and our wallets, it was a public holiday and all the shops were closed. We still enjoyed walking the street, seeing the fabulous store fronts and the high end brands. The street is even prettier at night when all the store fronts are lit.

“Very good shopping street! Especially if you like 'Made in Germany things'.”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Spent an exceptional amount of time here!

Well, if you like Germany products, you can get very good prices at the native place. This street is recommended because it has a collection of various shops, making it very convenient. For example, bought a Rimowa luggage which was about 30% cheaper than in Asia.

Designer brands are abundant here too.

“Re-Mortgage Your House then go Shopping”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Maximillianstrasse is located in the Altstadt (Old Town) close to Marianplatz. This road and several roads leading from it contain Munich's high-end shops. Every brand name you care to think of is represented here. Many of the staff in the shops are foreign nationals who are fluent in German as well as their mother tongue to enhance your shopping experience. As well as an eye watering shopping experience, the buildings that house these shops are interesting in their own right and you always have a beer keller close by if you work up a thirst from all that shopping.

“Shopping Alert - Hide Your Wallet From Your Partner”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

One of the four royal avenues in Munich.

This is where to do your high-end shopping and where the Munich Four Seasons (Vier Jahreszeiten) Hotel is located.

Premier brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Versace, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Hermes. Chanel, Escada and Bulgari amongst others are here.

I couldn't even afford to window shop.
