We saw this restaurant during our walk around the market and decided to go back there for dinner. The two waitresses were very polite, though not very proficient in English but at least the menu was OK in English. I don't really remember the names of the dishes, only the numbers - 53 and 57 :) 53 was a steak with gravy sauce and sauercraut, 57 - a choice of sausages with potatoes and sauercraut, of course. The potatoes were a bit bland, at least for my daughter's taste, she prefers more spicy food. The rest was very tasty, the meat was tender and we have no complaints about anything. The beer, of course, was great. Some of my friends said we might not like German cuisine but that was not the case with us.

This place can get a little crowded and does draw visitors as it is just off the crowded Market which is also a dont miss site. The food is authentic, very tast and quickly served, Dogs under the tables of their owners add to the ambiance.

After a hard morning's pottering around the market nowhere better to go than here for a refreshing beer or two. Service was friendly, the atmosphere warm and the clientele mixed. Food looked really good and we could see that it was being made by real people in a real kitchen.

Late on a Sunday night (well, 8pm!) we were wandering around Munich city centre trying to find some dinner but none of the restaurants seemed to be open. When we came across this place, we went in it out of necessity rather than choice. Had we read the reviews by other customers fist, I'm sure we would not have gone in. However, that would have been a shame as we had a really good meal here! The experiences of other reviewers seem to be either dreadful or really great - luckily ours was the latter! The restaurant is typically decorated, there was a good atmosphere inside and our waiters were friendly and attentive. I don't know what the standard of English is like here as I only spoke to them in German. Our food was delicious - my partner ordered pork fillets in a creamy mushroom sauce with the German speciality käsespätzle - it was divine!!! The prices were as you would expect from a city centre restaurant - 3 beers, a small salad and a main course came to €38.
