This museum is the first of three art museums all sitting next to each other. The old, new and modern pinakothek museums are all next to each other and you can get a pass to visit all 3 on the same day for 12 euros, which is what we did. I though this museum was the best, although the other 2 were very also good. It houses many wonderful paintings and the free audio guide which is available in many languages really enhances the experience. If you like old masters, Renaissance, Dutch and Flemish art this museum is a must see. Also don't miss the cafe -- it's a charming place for a light lunch, coffee, tea and cakes. Highly recommend this museum for art lovers!
