“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

This restaurant is a small, but cosy (and busy!) place. The genuine Vietnamese food is delicious and prices are very reasonable. Servings are rather big. Worth a visit. (Part of) the menu is available in English.

“Been craving freshness and taste in Germany?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We have been living in rural Bavaria for the last 6 months after moving from Melbourne. During this time we have had our fill of Germany food and were starting to develop a serious craving for fresh and flavoursome Asian food. Our prayers were answered after coming across this gem in Munich. Coming from Melbourne Vietnamese is often all about the food and sitting on plastic chairs is acceptable as long as the food is authentic. Nam Giao however provides both exceptionally good authentic food and not a plastic chair in sight. Get your taste on, get down to Nam Giao.

“Excellent value and really light and tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

I initially thought of a completely different place, but the good ratings at tripadvisor convinced me to reserve a table at NamGiao. Needless to say that this place was absolutely stunning.

What make this place a little gem is the food. It is really authentic vietnamese, so tasty and very light at the same time. We had Pho Bo, a duck menu and some veggie red curry to share. Everything was excellently cooked to the point and spiced nicely. The highlight was the Pho Bo. I haven't had a better one outside of Asia before.

The restaurant itself isn't a posh place and prices are very moderate. The service is quite efficient and quick. I think the most expensive about our dinner was the bottle of wine we had.
Since there are only 10-12 tables make sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. If everything fails, they also offer food to go.

If you like asian food this place is a MUST go to.

“Authentic Vietnamese!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Had a table reserved at this tiny restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. Food was delish and portions were decent and generous. We paid below 50 euros for 2 mains and an appetizer to share!

“Pretty good Vietnamese food and the Bahn Xeo is really lovely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

After days of sausages and steak and pork knuckles, we were craving some Asian food and we certainly weren't disappointed with this place. Staff were friendly and made efforts to converse with us in English,an English menu was available and the food tasted authentic. We ordered a pho bo (beef noodle) and a bahn Xeo (egg crepe with vegetable and prawn filling). The pho bo soup was good, though the quality of the noodle wasn't that great, but the bahn Xeo really surprised me. I have not been able to find good bahn Xeo since my trip to Vietnam and it was done very nicely here. Do try it!
