“Very nice open market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

Lots of street food, beers, wine, seafood, and vegetables.
Very nice to walk by and spend an hour.
Not recommended if it's raining since all the shops are outside on the street.
Also the MarinPlatz is 5m walk which is also recommended

“Simply, you mustn't miss it :-)”

It's a great outdoor market with lots of very delicious things to taste. It represents the real spirit of Munich. It's the best choice to finish your day after a long sightseeing tour. You can mingle with locals or with other people from all over the world.Try different kinds of sausages and enjoy the full pleasure with a glass of beer.Cheers

“Yummy! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

Great market for lunch or snacks! The soup stand, Munchen Suppenkuche, was fabulous. I got the carrot-coconut-ginger soup twice. It was very sweet, not gingery at all and well worth the 4.60 euro. I also recommend the fruit juice stand which shares the area with the soup shop. This stand was only 2.50 euro for 0.4 liters, which was made fresh. Far better than all the other options!

“A great place to take a break in the center of Munich”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

The Viktualienmarkt is a food market in the center of the city. You can take a lunch break or have a beer and meet local people or from around the world.
It is also possible to buy some food for your daily needs or to get some (not only bavarian) specialties. Just try and taste it.
The market is located in the center of the old town of Munich. Its perfect for a break from your sightseeing or business trip.

“Plenty to choose from”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

The Viktualienmarkt truly has something for everyone. It was a blast exploring the stalls and trying different foods. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from sitting down and enjoying one of the many outdoor restaurants, but I enjoyed the area nevertheless.
