“Worth it to go up!”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

It's fun to see the glockenspiel joust... but don't forget to go up, too! The entrance to the elevator is a bit hard to find (we had to ask somebody inside), but it is on the side of the building where the tower is. It's an elevator ride up (costs money, does have a student discount) and you get a view of the city, directly across from the St. Peter's Church tower (where you will likely see lots of other tourists). Easy and effortless way to get a city view, if you can find the tower.

“Awsome”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

This is a must see in Munchen. The square it is in is fantastic but the building itself is a show. If you wait for the top of the hour when the bell chimes you will get a surprise, have your camera ready. There are multiple authentic beer halls in the area so be prepared to have some sausage and great brew. Dont miss

“Beautiful gothic architecture”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Sits in the Marienplatz, an amazing site to withhold, despite lots of tourists. It is worth seeing. And won't cost you anything! We sadly missed the glockenspiel each time, but could hear it in the distance. Go see and hear for yourself!

“Amazing building”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Once you see it, you will be really impressed. Make sure you walk in the inner court, where you can make a few good photos and enjoy a cold beer in the shadow which is great on a hot summer day.
