“Fabulous Authentic Mexican food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

I grew up in Southern California and have eaten LOTS of Mexican food. I know the difference between Tex-Mex, New Mexican, Americanized Mexican, etc. This is the real deal! We have been travelling abroad for just under three months, and this is only the second time we've been able to get Mexican food. It did not disappoint! I chose Milagors, even though it wasn't the highest rated Mexican in Munich, on a hunch. And boy did it pay off! My husband and I shared a platter for two, sorry can't remember the name....it was a mix of house specialties...pork tacos, lime marinated steak, a chicken mole con verde, and a second type of pork tacos, along with guaq, beans, rice and a nice salad covered in corn in the center. Oh, and just a note...the dish says it comes with corn tortillas and wheat...I asked if they had flour tortillas and she said no, but it must be just a mix up in translation, because they were indeed flour not wheat. And my husband was happy to find that they horchata.
Muy Bien!
Also, the atmosphere is lovely and the people were very attentive and sweet. They even took a credit card, which we've found is not always the case in Germany.
Cheers and Happy Dining!
p.s. I watched the bartender sqeezing fresh limes for the margaritas, none of that nasty mix stuff here! Also, do not mistake the actual restaurant (which is where we were) from their new fast take out location, which is also near by...it may be good as well, but the restaurant was great!

“Very tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Was pleasantly surprised b this place. First and foremost is that it's mostly Mexican and not Tex-Mex so if your're expecting big, greasy Velveeta 'cheese' enchiladas this isn't your place. Mole poblano I had was delish but was bummed the kitchen ran out of flan for dessert. Tasty margarita (and big!) as well. Most important, as per Mexican cuisine: everything was fresh. Very friendly (and English speaking) service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. Would go back and recommend withno hesitations.

“Falsch”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

We were captivated by menu, design…were expecting to spend a good evening.
Burritos were awful, very dry. We had a feeling of eating a piece of wood.
Meat & cocktails were ok.
Our tablecloth was completely dirty: wax, tomato paste, rice etc. Guys, come on, do you pay attention to cleaning?!
Waiter forgot (!) to bring us medium sauce, though arrived HOT one (!) 5 min before we left.
Service took loooooong time. It was our first and, of course, last time in this well-known “restaurant”.
Warning : choose another place, save you evening!

“Very good Mexican food and atmosphere.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

We've been to this very popular Mexican restaurant in central Munich a few times now. On weekend evenings you need to book well in advance, otherwise there's little chance of a table.
On this last visit we went at lunchtime on Saturday and there were plenty of tables. The fajitas were very good quality and the portions abundant. One complaint was the margaritas. We ordered one each and when they arrived the glasses were not full and had a huge amount of ice. In very few sips they were gone so we ordered two more, asking politely if they could have a little less ice in them this time. They arrived and filled the glass about one third. When questioned about this we were given a precise list of how many ml of each ingredient must go into a margarita. On other occasions there, with different staff, we were served normal portions. So next time i'm ordering a beer.

“Convenient area & good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

They tell you it's all authentic Mexican food and they have the decor to go with it. We arrived without reservations (around 6pm) and was immediately shown a place to sit. The waiter was good enough to translate some of the dishes for us even though he wasn't good in English but with some gesturing, some umms and ahhs, we had our order.

You could even watch them cook your meal if you like. Although the waiting time was slightly long for such an odd time with probably another 4 tables occupied, the food was excellent. Although I'm no Mexican to judge the authenticity but we left with a smile on our stomachs.

They are located just around the Viktualienmarkt area, so it is easy to find. They have both inside and outside sitting. Definitely a must try if you're in the area. Come at odd hours if you don't have reservations.
