Old-school theater a bit out of town - there's a U-bahn though.

The Prinzregenten theatre is at Prinzregenten Platz which is a station on the U4 U-Bahn line which goes through Odeonplatz and Hauptbahnhof. (Though sometimes after a performance one has to change at MaxWeberPlatz)
The building is unusual as it is unbroken rows in a kind of a amphitheatre shape with separate entrance doors into the auditorium for every few rows. It's not very large at 1,100 or so seats.
Drinks and light snacks are available in a room to the rear left and there seems to be a restaurant beyond .
Tickets for the opera are also obtainable from the main StaatsOper House box office.
The seat numbering is peculiar, alternate numbers seem to be adjacent to each other.
