“See it for the bulding! The art is a bonus”
Reviewed June 2, 2014 via mobile

I can't say I related to all of the leading-edge art in this collection but that hardly matters. The building is a wonder, inside and out--a must-see if you have the slightest interest in architecture. I enjoyed the wide-ranging display of Warhols (many on themes new to me and rarely shown elsewhere) and two glorious, room-filling sequences by Cy Twombly, an artist I never much cared for until I rediscovered him here.

We loved the Andy Warhol pieces! Great pieces with beautiful art, also a great gift shop with books for good prices.

“Unmissed musseu”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Brandhorst private collection is near 3 Pinakothek museums. The building is so interesting. Inside there exist a book shop specialized in art. The contemporary collection is big and interesting collection with about 700 œuvres d'art. They have a ticket for all Pinakothek cheaper.

“Interesting museum”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

This museums is in close proximity to three pinakothek museums. I was more interested in the building than the art it housed... Unfortunately no photo taking is allowed inside... The museum shop was very good and had lots of interesting things for kids.

“Great collection of Andy Warhol”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

The Brandhorst private collection is located just next to the 3 Pinakotek museums (which are a must) in a beautiful building. It has great collection of contemporary art, but to me what was so interesting is the large collection of Andy Warhol paintings. Also on display now is a great piece by Damien Hirst. Well worth the visit.
