The ultra modern minimalist design that worth the value for a short stay in the hotel. Walking distance to good restaurants and mc Donalds and also a big supermarket and just across the metro train station. A bit far from the airport, the taxi cost us 70 euros to get there so I would recommend to take the train/metro instead of going with the taxi.

Rooms are modern, minimalist yet not so spartan as to be austere. Very simple chair and ottoman with small desk, it's a great room for one to two, but don't try to squeeze in more. Bath has spacious stall shower, toilet and sink, spotlessly clean! The pluses: the triple glass windows are about as soundproof as possible, you will NOT hear a sound from the street. We slept in total silence! TV had over 45 channels, we found that a nice plus.

Towels and linens were super white and soft, bed firm but soft enough to be comfortable. Minimal closet space and no dresser with drawers, only shelf space on one wall. Two little bottles of body wash were offered in the bath.

For the price we paid ($59, Friday night) this was a deal! The very helpful staff spoke excellent English, and they threw in free wifi (normally $5 extra, free in lobby). Breakfast is $7.50 extra and we recommend it. Free outdoor parking, but limited to about 20 cars. Underground parking is an additional charge. Very limited street parking. Nearby U-Bahn just 2.5 blocks away, about a five minute walk.

Not many restaurants nearby, but cetainly within a ten-minute walk.

Considering comfort, cleanliness, convenience and most of all, price, we rate this property a solid four stars. We find the low price a major factor that promotes this 3-star property to 4-star property). Of course, true four-star hotels feature many more amenities, such as health spa, more spacious rooms, perhaps a bidet in the bathroom, and room service most of the day and night. However, true four star establishments are triple the price!

Overall, the cleanliness, comfort and quiet, we say Motel One at this location is a winner!

Who should not stay here? Anyone who needs a bath tub, large working desk, a place to conduct business interviews, any long stays requiring more clothing storage, might find the frugality here too much for their needs.

The Motel One Munich City Süd features exactly the same rooms, baths, bar, design features, menu as all the other hotels of the Motel One chain - I like them a lot when I have to stay in Germany as you know exactly what you get: young & fresh design, reasonably sized and no-frills rooms, clean baths. The hotel in Weißenseestraße is not really very centrally located, but you will get a room much easier and cheaper than in the city center (especially when the Bavarians are celebrating the yearly beer festival).
Try it - you'll like it better than booking a random business hotel for more money.

This hotel has become one of my favorites. The check-in starts at 3 PM however when we got here at 1 PM the rooms were ready and hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room is small but stilysh and very clean. It has basic facilities but all you need for a short term stay.

The bed is confortable (even though matress is a bit hard). It is perfectly soundproof so you have no noise coming from outside, don't know about the noise coming from neighbours as they were very quiet. Bathroom is small(as well) and clean. The shower is very funny as it has shape and size of a ping-pong paddle.

We took the welcome pack (breakfast & wifi) and were very happy with it. They have mostly cold breakfast: meat, cheese, butter, jam etc + croissants and good coffee. The internet is a bit anoying to use in the room because the login page pops up over and over again.

Overall we were very happy with the cleanliness and friendly relaxed atmosphere in this motel. Had a few treats and pleasant surprises.

First of all, the address at the top of this page is not the address used in the Motel One directory. The address is Weibenseestrabe 140, 81539 Munchen

If you are coming from the Hauptbahnhof, take the U1 direction Mangfallplatz. Get off at Wettersteinplatz and you will be within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. The check-in was quick and friendly. The room is compact but has enough area to be comfortable. There is a flat screen TV, large comfortable bed, small desk. The bathroom is very clean and has a huge shower. The rooms are really soundproof. No noise at all from outside, it is very quite and a good nights sleep is a pretty sure thing. Breakfast and wifi in the rooms are not included. If you purchase the breakfast you do get free wifi in the room. The breakfast is huge and there is a lot of variety. The lobby is spacious and comfortable, and there is a bar for drinks and snacks. The room rate that I paid was 59 euros per night. You can book directly on their web site and no credit card is needed if you arrive by 6pm, if you want to guarantee your late arrival for after 6pm then you can use a credit card.
