My husband and I toured Dachau with Steve -- a WWII military historian from England. Steve was very respectful with the information and really helped us understand all that went into creating an environment in which such atrocities could be committed with little to no check. It was a very powerful tour, one that I highly recommend for adults. There was quite a bit of walking, but Steve went at a reasonable pace and stopped often to continue his discourse. It was much colder at the camp than it was in Munich so dress accordingly. We met him at the Radius Tours office at the Munich Hbf, across from platform 32. It was a quick train ride to Dachau and then a city bus ride to the camp -- about 40 minutes of travel total each way. It was definitely worth the time and the money.
