“Herrenchiemsee was a pure delight!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

When you visit Bavaria, Neuschwanstein is on everyone's to-do list. But Herrenchiemsee is the place to visit if you are fascinated by nature, architecture and a pursuit of finding something new! Radius Tours' tour to Herrenchiemsee was a fascinating one. Our guide Max was well versed with the location and its history even though the tour was started just a month ago.
The travel to this place from Munich is very versatile: a train to Prien am Chiemsee, an 150-year old steam train to the ferry station and then a ferry rise to reach you to the Herren and Frauen islands. I visited this place in August 2012 and it was one hell of a day!
If you don't mind a hectic day, this tour is for you. Travelling with Radius Tours turned out to be cost-effective and informative. It was fun too!

“Day trip to Salzburg”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

We did a Radius tour to Salzburg from Munich. Our guide, Jeff, gave us an interesting insight into Salzburg history and its links to "The sound of Music" and Mozart whilst travelling there on the train. We did a short city walk about, orientating ourselves and then were free to chose which sites we wanted to visit. The Christmas market in Salzburg is well worth a visit. We could have spent more time in Salzburg as there is so much to see.

“Radius Dachau tour with Steve”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

A sobering but very educational and interesting day with Steve as a guide on public transport. Obviously incredibly sad but extremely informative. The economical and political background was explained as well. The morning just flew. I was unsure whether I would be so disturbed by this tour that it would influence the balance of my trip and having been on it I consider that my holiday would be incomplete without it. The history was presented for us to draw our own conclusions. While it glossed over nothing the camp and memorials are structured such that you were left to search out the emotional detail yourself if you wish. I could have stayed longer. My kids (12 and 13) actually enjoyed the reality of the history and are looking forward to sharing parts of it with friends they know to be of Jewish background or whom are reading about it at school (eg The Boy in striped pajamas).

“Munich Walking Tour - Dec.2012”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

We booked Munich Walking tour for Dec 31,2012. Our guide, Jeff, was awesome.
He is knowledgeable and informative. He was able to show us the important places like the platz, kirches, historical places, good eating places, shoppping places and more. We were all entertained and well informed within the tour, He was accomodating to the group as we had some senior folks with us.The whole tour was definitely good. Thank you Radius Tours and Jeff.

“Dachau tour - rushed”
Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

We did the Radius tour to Dachau and our guide was Kevin. I was not overly impressed with the tour or our guide. We travelled as a couple and our overall group was about 30 passengers. I felt that even though we had three hours at the actual memorial we were extremely rushed through the site.

In saying this do make the effort to go to Dachau just maybe look at another company or better still make your own way there and hire the audio guide to give you the time to take in the memorial.
