“Average hotel, but... what a wine list!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

Have just been there for business purposes, and the hotel is of good quality, rooms are a little bit small but clean ad well kept. The hotel is family driven and personnel is nice and kind. Good food (typical bavarian), and their wine list is astonishing, wines from all over the world and choice of any price.
Very close to U6 Metro stop.
Good prices and location.

I stay in this hotel everytime I`m in Munich. Its very close to the Grosshadern clinic so it is the reasonable choice for patients around the world. I`ve stayed there many times, including 1 month non-stop,so I definately know the staff who are all very polite, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is one of the best in Munich in my opinion, and as I have seen is always full with clients. The food there is high-class German classic - I highly recommend the pumpkin soup in the autumn ot the wild garlic one in the winter. The waiters are the funniest part of the staff.
It`s a family hotel that makes me feel like home because of the staff`s attitude, comfortable interior and good cuisine. The cons are much less than the pros,so it`s worth it to stay there. The only things I dont like about it is that the rooms don`t have a fridge which I believe is neccessary, and the pillows, which are too soft and I often wake up with a pain in the neck.
The staff is very very friendly and helpful, especially one of the receptionists whom I consider already a friend.Once I stayed there 15days they didn`t charge the internet fees because I am a regular client, which was very nice.
Good choice mainly for health -treatment trips to Munich, because of the location. But also for other occasions. The meto-station is close to the hotel, and takes 20 minutes to Marienplatz.
Advice- visit the Widmann cafe next to the hotel, the best pastry shop in Munich and well-known among the locals.Among the other restaurants and cafes around it`s worth the italian pizzeria on the sam street.

Room Tip: Best rooms face the inside yard and have a private terrace connected to it and are on the ground flo...

I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Considering the price, rooms were very small and old furnitured.

This was the second of two hotels I stayed at during the trip, the first being a spectacular luxury location in the Austrian Alps. This was a location that very convenient to the Klinikum were I was teaching. It appeared family owned, and wasclean, safe, comfortable, having a very good restaurant. Neighborhood has other good eateries as well. Wifi in the foyer was free (password protected) or you could purchase LAN access for the room. Rooms on the front first floor could be noisy due to limited street traffic. It's a good value option for those who don't require pampering

First off I would like to give you the back drop for my reason to have stayed here. Myself and my significant other, along with four other people stayed here for three days during this years Oktoberfest. The hotel is located approximately three walking minutes from the Grobharden subway exit. It is several exits away from Munich and it takes around 15 minutes on the subway to get there. This is very relevant information if you are considering on staying here for next years Oktoberfest. The hotel has three stories and I would guess 30-50 rooms. There are no amenities to offer. You can get DSL internet if you pay for it but no wireless internet is available. The staff was genuinely helpful and pleasant to deal with. They did charge one of my travel mates 8 Euro's for using the receptionist desk phone to inquire about a tour. Overall the experience was pleasant, but really nothing to brag about. We stayed on the second floor which had a walk out balcony that over looked the flower garden and a huge tent with tables under it. The bathroom was larger than most European bathrooms but was really outdated. The beds were firm and the pillows were ok. There is a high dollar restaurant attached to the Neumayr but we never ate there. There is a breakfast buffet served in the morning and it is pretty tasty. (Not complimentary) On a serious note everything closes in this area at 8pm. (with the exception of a few bars). If you want to experience the nightlife you will have to catch the subway. Overall the Neumayr seems to be a good place to stay if your looking to just getaway from it all.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 24 which is flanked to the right by the maids closet and to the left by the elevat...

We stayed at the hotel in October 2010. This is family run hotel. The hotel is good but rather far away from the center. We always used taxi to reach Marienplatz. The breakfast was good. In the evening it was nice to spend some time at the hotel bar and drink German beer! There is lovely courtyard at the hotel.

Was there for a conference at the hospital. Approx 20 mins by tube to centre of town or 20 euros by taxi.

Small single room for 80 euros per night incl breakfast. Breakfast was cereal and yoghurt and rolls. Hot breakfast was finished by 9:15 despite breakfast open till 10. Not very impressive.

Told no wifi despite picking one up called hotel neumayr. Receptionist said internet was 6 euros by hard wire in room only.

Only real benefit was the closeness to hospital.
