Description: Situated directly by the Frauenkirche in the heart of Munich, this restaurant has been in family hands for many generations and offers everything you would typically associate with Munich and Bavarian hospitality. Whether it is for a quick break or a more substantial meal such as shank with dumplings, you will find value for money here. As a particularly unique feature, Tarte Flambée with a variety of fillings is served at 16:30. Another feature unveils itself in the summer, when you can sit at tables on the street and watch the hustle and bustle pass by. Because of this enviable position in the middle of the city, the Augustiner am Dom is an ideal stopping point on your shopping trip, great for regaining your energy! With lots of smaller and larger rooms, not to mention its beer garden in the inner courtyard, the restaurant can accommodate all kinds of events.

Located just a few blocks from the Marienplatz by the Frauenkirche was the Augustiner am Dom. It was our first introduction to the Biergarten food, beer and atmosphere. We went for lunch and my wife had the Barvarian snack plate which was several types of sausages, ham and cheese samples. I had the Weisswurst, the white Bavarian veal sausage with soft pretzels and mustard and of course the Augustiner beer. Delicious.

Great German food. The atmosphere is truly authentically German. There was a bachelor party celebrating the pre-wedding festivity. The Wurst was wonderful. One of the highlights of our trip to Europe.

We got there just in spardel season... There are several dishes with spardel in Special menu. Fast and very friedndly service. But to get all from bavarian spardel itvis better to order it with souce instead of oil. In addition it is just near the must see in Munchen old Dom (catheadral)..

Ordered only main courses which arrived suspiciously fast..Food already cooked?
Rump steak very tough as if meat not sufficiently matured before cooking.

I went to Munich with my friends and booked the table online. We went here for lunch and the waiter was friendly even if their english was not as good. But they still tried to explain the menu and try to talk with us. It was very touched :) The food we ordered are awesome! But some of them are hard to chew. However overall are awesome!
