“Nice Hotel”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

Nice Hotel: great location just 10 mins walking to the Marienplatz. Small but comfortable rooms, decent breakfast with tasty cappuchino.
Minuses: No WiFi at all, internet access is "possible" via two old PCs at the reception. Frankly speaking there is no internet at all. Price for double room with all Taxes and breakfast is 100 eur which is a bit overpriced.

Perfect for a stay in Munich and so easy to get from the airport with S-bhan and underground arriving a few steps from hotel. Hotel is very central but quiet. Staff pleasent and professional.

The Motel One chain are very reliable and good value, and this one is no exception. It could hardly be more central - a few minutes walk from all the main central sights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; the hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are not big but they are expertly designed so there is room for everything. Great shower. We paid 7.5 euros extra each a night for the great buffet breakfast and wifi in the room - it's well worth it in our view.

Our rating is a very strong four star, and nearly a five. Our only niggles were: no stopper in the sink (a bit irritating when there is the usual homily on the bathroom mirror about the environment); it's quite noisy at night with the window open (the usual trade-off with having a central location); and the underground car park was full (often the case with Motel One parking) so we had to put the car in another car park nearby at 18 euros a night. But despite these small downsides we would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: High up and at the back is probably best

Just stayed two nights here this week and was extremely pleased we chose this hotel. The location was very close to the very efficient metro line so we were able to get around Munich very quickly and easily. Our room on the seventh floor was really quiet and we slept well on the comfortable bed. The lifts were very very fast as well so there was no waiting around. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful and the lobby had a nice atmosphere. Whilst our room was compact, the design meant we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We would definitely choose to use his hotel again.

Stayed in a couple of "Motel One" hotels in Munich as part of a recent trip to Germany/Austria.

This one was located a short walk from the MarianPlatz and right by an underground station. Easy to get to and from all the main areas of Munich.

It was pretty busy the night I was there, but breakfast still worked well, with lots of choice and space in the seating area available.

Would definitely recommend it as reasonably priced base for a trip to Munich.

Just come back from a short trip to Munich. The Motel One was an excellent choice of place to stay. It is situated on a quiet street, just down the road is a tube station, one stop from the main train station. Motel One can probably be described as economical - both in terms of price - great value for Munich and room style - minimalist, but comfortable. Breakfast is well worth the price, you get a good selection of hot and cold drinks, meat, cheese, bread and cereals - plus you get free wifi for your room in the price. Staff were efficient and friendly. Overall, My partner and I loved it and would recommend to anyone! Hotel staff, if you are reading, many thanks for a lovely stay!

Just back from 5 night stay at this hotel and would highly recommend staying here , like the majority of reviewers we found the whole experience enjoyable.Rooms seemed a bit small when we arrived but after settling in we found there was ample room for everything and it actually encouraged us to be tidy. The shower in the bathroom was great and the hair dryer worked well. The hotel was spotless everywhere ,we had the breakfast once and it was good value but we are not big eaters in the morning so we had coffee and croissants nearby. If you like tea I would bring some teabags with you as I found it hard to get good tea ,the coffee is excellent .Staff and location could not be better, and we had a couple of good nights in the Irish bar Kennedys on the corner, food and great music and of course the "crack". Overall we had the best time visiting Munich the city is amazing and great day trips on the brilliant transport system made it an unforgettable holiday. Also we found the German people very friendly and helpful ,we will be back !!!!

Room Tip: top floor no smoke smells
