“A real gem: family-friendly restaurant that combines excellent food and warm welcome”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

We are lucky to live close to this wonderful restaurant. It took us almost a year to discover it, as it is partly hidden from the sidewalk by a small technical building in the outdoor seating area.
Sebastiano, the owner, is extremely friendly. And the waiters also make you feel welcome. One of them even speaks English and the menu is in German and in English.
The restaurant is nicely lit, the red walls and the black and white photos (of Italy or famous Italians) give the place a pleasant and cosy atmosphere. In summer you can seat outside.

My favorite dishes are:
- the grilled fish platter (sole with thyme, salmon, prawns and calamaris) They have really perfected this dish. I order it very regularly! It comes with a rice and a green salad seasoned with balsamic vinegar dressing. It is also possible to order vegetables instead.
- spaghetti Tassilo (slightly spicy with a lot of garlic)
- any dishes with truffles (when in season)
-we have also been wooed by lamb chops, but they are not always on the menu

My least favorite dishes there are their pizzas: I personally find them very greasy, but my husband enjoys them, especially the pizza with parma ham, parmesan and arugala.

Children are extremely welcome here: they have a special play room with some cushions and blocks and pencils to color. Families get seated nearby so parents can enjoy their dinner and keep an eye on their children. The restaurant is designed in a very clever way so that people without kids can have an enjoyable evening without being disturbed by tired children. In the summer the children can play on a little slide outside. The kids menu is great and very affordable, but if your children have luxury taste (like some of mine who really enjoy spaghetti with clams), you can order a child size portion of that dish and you will get charged you the same price as spaghetti Napoli (i.e. with tomato sauce). The dessert (ice cream) is also included.

This restaurant is a particular gem for families: a great way for parents to have a pleasant dining experience in the company of their children.

“Great italian food! Superb service”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

This is a gem of a place. Food is great and the menu is very diverse. You can have anything from fish to pizza and all with great quality. The service is great And the owner Sebastiano Fiorito is always around serving tables or greeting customers. Antonio is one of the servers and he is great!
The prices are very reasonable. Very nice wines and priced very nicely so you don't hesitate about ordering a bottle of chianti to go along with the wonderful dinner.
Menus arein German and subtitles in english, very easy to order.
I have dinned at this restorant more than 10 times in the last year and now that I moved to München it has become my go to place, busines or personal. I live in the neighborhood now and it is easy to walk down the street and enjoy a wonderful dinner in a very nice environment. The light is right and there are always candles on the tables.

“A pleasant surprise outside the city center”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

Found this restaurant after searching for Italian restaurants nearby on Easter Sunday. This one was open, so we gave it a shot and we were so glad! Staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. We were promptly seated at our 19:00 reservation time and immediately brought free (rare around here, free anything) bruschetta breads, in addition to the basket of bread that was waiting at the table we reserved. Drink and food orders were taken promptly, and by 19:14 the food had arrived.

We had the rigatoni al forno (ordered without mushrooms and prepared correctly) and prosciutto pizza. Both were delicious. The rigatoni had a generous portion with plenty of cheese, sauce, and meat. The pizza had a tasty thin, crisp crust with good sauce, plenty of cheese, and plenty of prosciutto.

Portions were big and we were both full. After dinner, our server even gave us each a free liquor (3€ each if ordered).

21,60€ for two entrees, 2 0,5L Spezis, and tax. Great food, great service...we will be back!

“Payed for a large pizza for two for takeaway and I got a small.”
Reviewed March 18, 2011

Eating inside the restaurant feel very cheap, there is a far better restaurant on the other side of the road. The service do not know anything about wine or the drinks they serve. As a tip, if you are looking for a nice Italian dinner then find something els.

“Very nice place to un-wind”
Reviewed December 7, 2010

Great little place offering good Italian at reasonable prices. I travel on business to Munich often and frequent this place nearly every time I come... don't remember ever being disappointed with a meal here. Near to Ostbahnhof- so easy to get too... Outdoor dining in Summer is nice, service very friendly, good pizzas and fish, and reasonable prices make this a favorite!
