Description: With its Bavarian cuisine the Wirtshaus Ayinger am Platzl embodies lively inn tradition at a historic site. From original Munich 'Weisswurst' and roasts to fresh fish from nearby lakes - we serve fresh and creative dishes in the heart of Bavaria's capital. Of course no meal is complete without the exquisite beers from the family-owned brewery in Aying. Six draft beers are available daily. The furnishings are rustic and cosy, and 140 seats provide lots of authentic "Wirtshaus" character. Eighty additional spaces are available on the patio in the summer. Yes, this is traditional ambience - but that does not mean doing without modern conveniences: Free wireless LAN means that business or private matters can be attended to directly.

Authentic German Cuisine caught between two tourist traps. It's located next to the Hard Rock Cafe and across from the Hofbrauhaus. This restaurant had great Schnitzel and good service. The wine was good, pretzels were fresh. I recommend this place and would go back!

After almost reaching saturation from good beer we decided to try one of the smaller breweries. Although the famous dobbeltbock was out of season, there were plenty of exciting beer alternatives to choose from. The food alternatives were also exciting and my knuckle was really good. The atmosphere of the place was really good.

This is not really a tourist attraction. But it's across from the Hoffbrauhaus. So it's easy to find. You can't get in without a reservation. Food is deliciously German. Definitely my "to go place" when I am in Munich.

We searched high and low for this beer an stumbled across this when leaving the tourist trap Hofbrau Haus. My husband who is a Beer snob loves this beer. Service was at best adequate. Waiter had a bit of an attitude and when he dropped 3 beers it didn't help. Sit outside as it's pretty warm inside in the summer.

Food was very good. I had the Wiener schnitzel and my husband had another schnitzel which he also enjoyed. Never got our basket of warm pretzels.

Would I come again? YES
