We had dinner at the Wirthaus Ayingers on a Friday night and were very glad we had made reservations. The restaurant was just starting to come to life at 7pm and by the time we left around 9pm, people were being turned away. Fabulous beer list, of course. No surprise there. Excellent service. Fresh pretzels were brought before dinner and the menu was very traditional. Our little group had oxen, beef, and the weiner schnitzel. None of us were disappointed. I had the apple streudel for dessert and was a little underwhelmed. The crust was flaky and crisp, but I found the flavor bland.

Centrally located and just across from the Hofbrauhaus but without the huge queues. If you want to visit during Oktoberfest, you definitely need to book a table as it's very popular. The food speaks for itself and the beer's fantastic.

Location very central. Restaurant quite big. Service very prompt and efficient
We both had different sorts of soup to start. Both were really top notch. I then had a huge pork knuckle with dumplings. My son had a Wiener Schnitzel. Portion sizes were not for the faint hearted but the quality was great
Beer was a delight. Lots of types to choose from
Would definitely return

I have been visiting Ayinger on a regular basis for the last 2 years. The food is very good and the service people are always kind and helpful.
If u want to avoid the madness of nearby popular places then ayinger is the place to be.
Last and most important. Jahrhundert beer as well as the Weiß, are the best beers i have ever tried!
