The concierge at our hotel booked us here on our first night in Munich and we ended up dining here four times ! The restaurant has a great atmosphere with dining both inside and out. The cuisine is authentic German and Austrian. The wienerschnitzel was better than we had in Vienna and the weissbeir superb! Another favorite was the kaese spaetzle. For dessert, try the Semmelschmarrn, a Bavarian tradition. Consistently good each time we went.

Great food & atmosphere ; pork knuckles very good with crispy exterior surrounding moist flavorful pork. Plentiful portion.

Complimented with a dunkel

Long story short, the food was about average, the service was bad, and the mediocre pretzels they handed out in the beginning are, in fact, not free.

Not sure how the restaurant keeps business up.

This place is typical German food and service was great however it wasnt the best place that we ate at (for German food but the place we went to which we thought was the best was more modern German and for the "traditional" German places it is the best). In end due to service (exeplary) and great food we would come back here and recommend.

An ideal place to have a German, Bavarian style meal with some biers. Sitting outside was nice to take in the atmosphere.
Thanks to a tour guide for the recommendation.
