OK, German cuisine, like British doesn't have the best reviews! That being said, I feel you're obliged to try it "when in Rome" (or Coburg)...
The restaurant setting is great: just on the edge of the market square in a lovely old building. The menu's are in German but a very pleasant waitress with excellent English helped us out. The food was plentiful and VERY cheap, as was the beer and wine! I'd go again for the Tomato soup alone which was undoubtedly the best I've ever had.
Not exactly haut cuisine but very pleasant nonetheless.
