There is nothing wrong with the hotel itself, while it is a little quaint and has some patina, but you should visit due to the excellent service and very friendly staff. Everyone we met did their best to help in a very honest way. The breakfast is really great and on the healthy side. We stayed both on the 1st floor and on the top floor and the room on the 1st floor was definitely the best.
This hotel was wonderful during my 3 day visit to GP. It was within walking distance of the train station, and accommodated my arrival at midnight by leaving my keys in my room and letting me know which room I was in a few days before. The breakfast was good, and the staff was extremely friendly. I even left a speaker at the hotel and I got an email from the hotel and they offered to ship it back to me (which I took them up on!). The hotel staff went above and beyond for my visit and I would gladly stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here 2 very comfortable nights. Delicious organic breakfast buffet, including scrambled eggs! We were fortunate to hit the height of strawberry season! Had a gorgeous view of the mountains from our balcony. Offstreet parking and free Wi-Fi. Nice lounge and outside garden area.
Perfect hotel for example zugspitze visit. 5-10minutes walk to the train station. Lidl shop on nearby also.
Walking distance to the Partenkirchen and Garmisch centers.
More bed and breakfast type of a place than a hotel. Old fashioned feeling. Really appreciate the ecological values and biological food. And without unicorn healing and homeopathic remedies.
Breakfast
Absolutely the best tasting food on my whole interrail tour with 13 different hotels round Europe. Simple and tasty. Warm bread, different type of cheeses. Apple juice tasted like homemade. Bacon, eggs, müsli, yogurt, fresh fruits. 100% biological food. Possibility to eat in the garden.
Room and bed
Bed was ok. Extra pillows you can get from reception. Nice balcony with afternoon sun shining. The door was difficult to open. There is a handle to the hinge side of the door that lifted the door up and it opens. Didn't dare to prove it first if the whole door comes down. :D
Clean modern bathroom.
Safety deposit box in the room.
Not carpeted floor which was a big plus!

One of the ladies who worked in evening time was a bit odd. Rolled her eyes when we asked about the balcony door, extra pillow or wifi password. She'd help us but got the feeling that it would be better if we don't have anymore questions.
Wifi
You'd had to ask a password and username from front desk. Wifi didn't work properly and only in the room door inside the room.
We stayed a weekend at Hotel Bavaria with our two dogs and a friend. We have visited Garmisch-Partenkirchen several times and while each hotel was wonderful in different ways this was our favorite. It was located very close to shopping but also close by were beautiful walking paths for our dogs. There was private parking! On all 3 previous visits to Garmisch we had to find on street parking. Their little parking lot made a difference for us. The people who managed the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They made us cappuccinos for breakfast, had delicious organic, fresh foods every morning including eggs, bacon, cold meats, cheese, yogurt, etc. and fresh baked breads. The place was extremely clean. We had a room with a balcony porch over looking trees that were in bloom. Very quiet. Several places to sit inside or out to read and enjoy the day. Short walk to shops and places to eat. We would stay there again when we visit Garmisch.
