Just come back from a business trip and stayed at the Bold again. As I was with my wife, we were accommodated in the Kofel Suite. Massive bathroom and balcony and very clean and comfortable siting room and bedroom. Although on the front of the hotel overlooking the road, most traffic noise had died down well before midnight.
The food in the restaurant was well cooked and presented and very tasty.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and it was very nice to be recognised from previous visits, especially by Frau Hans!

We stayed two nights in this hotel in early September. Very nice and clean. Right next to the river and running path, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bathrooms were modern, well lighted, and super clean. The breakfast was very good, and we had one dinner there which was good. Very nice and helpful staff. A super nice small hotel. You will not be disappointed here.

I visit Oberammergau twice a year. This hotel has excellent customer service and an elegant atmosphere. This hotel is amongst the finest hotels in Oberammergau. There is no need to go to eat out. The classy restaurants' meals are very delicious and the wine/beer selections are great. The inclusive breakfast is amazing (try the scrambbled eggs). I am so looking forward to my next stay.
You may notice a variety of military guests. Do not be alarmed. The NATO School is located in this town and this hotel is recommended to senior officers.

Room Tip: Great view from every room.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a Globus tour and were sorely disappointed. Our twin room was tiny and no room for the second suitcase. Had to go on top of the wardrobe. No room to swing a cat. Knocked heads on the TV hanging on a bracket out from the wall with cords draping down mid air to the power point near the floor. Little beds were short with bed ends and hard. Some other members of the group asked to change their rooms, but were told they were full. Next morning they were obliged and said their new rooms were much better. In hindsight we also should have complained. The food was plain and uninspiring for breakfast but dinner was quite good. The owner was very abrupt and rude.
It appears not only from these reviews but also from other tour members that the quality and size of the rooms varies enormously. Ours was pokey, uncomfortable and with no balcony or outlook. Alright if you don't spend any time in it.
Location wise it is very close to the centre of town.

My family and I stayed for 3 days and loved the place. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was well worth the price. I do recommend going elsewhere for dinner as it is a bit pricey. Do not be discouraged though as it is close to Garmish and other options. The hotel is easy to get too and has lots of
Parking that is free. Beautiful views of the mountains and is also a participant in
The Koenigs card program that gives you lots of free things to do in the area.

We will come again.
