Nice old hotel, family run. Excellent price for a single room, only 60 euros when I stayed. Excellent resteraunt for dinner. And a typical excellent breakfast buffet that I have come to love about any decent hotel in Germany. Very friendly and helpful staff. View is incredible on the rooms at the front of the hotel. Like many older hotels it tends to attract older people, which makes for a nice quiet night of sleep after a long day of hiking the gorgeous trails in the area. The only down side was no internet, but it was nice not to have it for a day/night.

We went in May before the crowds were here and it was incredible. The room was spacious with a walk in closet, the bathroom was generous and the views from the common room and breakfast room were just incredible. The restaurant downstairs served me the best meal of my trip, there is no need to go any where else in town to eat. Even if you don't have a car the train station is a small hike down hill. Wanted to save some money so we got the back lot view, but if you want to have a truly romantic stay with the best alpine view for not a whole lot more money I do not think you can find it elsewhere. The only down side was that if you want internet for you computer you have to bring a cord to plug it into the wall. I would without a doubt stay here again.

We stayed for one night and found the hotel very charming. The hotel is divided into the original hotel with a extension that looks like it was done in the 70's which is where out room was. The room was modern, comfortanble and had a large bathroom, balcony and an excellent view over mountains.

We drove and there is free carparkign behind the building, also the wifi was quick and free. There looked to be a massage area, which had I known about before I may have used.

The restruant is fantasic, very authentic and with a great menu. The staff were very happy for us to share a Fondou, have a soem drinks and play cards. Very relaxed and helpful.

I woudl reccomend this hotel

As previous reviewers have commented the views from the front rooms of the hotel are amazing and great to wake up to. The rooms themselves are furnished nicely and everything worked. The public rooms have a bit of a feel of an old folks/residential home and could do with some upgrading. The staff were helpful and breakfast was fine. The location is very much in the town which was exactly what we wanted but might not be to everyone's taste. I would agree that this is a good hotel and not a great one.

Our first trrip to this area of Germany. We arrived after a drive through heavy snow from Munich and received a very warm welcome and were shown to a room with lovely views over the village and surrounding hills and mountains which were only fully revealed in the following days as the skies cleared.

The rooms and the public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and all furnished in traditonal style with plenty of wood pannelling.

The room itself was very warm and cosy, spacious and with a very comforrtable bed.

The restaurant was a real treat ,we were on half board and were delighted to find we were allowed to order anything from the very extensive menu we wanted. Not being German speakers it would have been good if the menu contained an English translation but the staff were very happy to answer and translate for us as required. The food was quite delicious and all cooked to a very high standard indeed.

The breakfast choice was also very extensive, hot and cold, and quite adequate to fill up on before long walks in the snowy woods and hills. The views from the breakfast room are quite delightful.

The hotel may not be suitable for the less mobile as there are a lot of steps and passages both inside and outside.

We shall certainly be returning!

We stayed at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten which was a beautiful and pleasant hotel run by a family. The outlook is breathtaking and the in- house restaurant is the best eating in town. And not expensive. Ask for a room with mountain view and you will find it thrilling and the air crisp and clean. Just an A grade place. Plenty to see nearby and you are right in the heart of the town, which has good shops and food places. Parking is easy.

We enjoyed our night in the Vier Jahreszeiten, finding the room spacious and pleasant, and the staff very friendly (though not necessarily conversant in English). No doubt, though, the highlight of the Hotel is the restaurant. We ordered room service, and both of us were very impressed. My wife had the Matjas Herring (I know, very unusual choice for an American gal in her 20's), and said it was the best she's ever tasted. I had a freshly grilled pike, and was delighted. The breakfast room has large windows and outstanding views of the area.
