We spent the weekend in Ulm for the christmas market and probably would have prefered going for more local food. But since most restaurants were fully booked due to company christmas celebrations, we went to the Himalya instead.
And I must say it was a very pleasant experience. We were three of us, had a nice quiet corner table and really enjoyed the food. The pakoras (we ha mushrooms and mixed) where fresh and delicious, the sauces served with the very nice nan where also very good. Admittedly the mint nan was not very minty, but still interesting.
For the main course we had a biryani dish, a mixed tandoori and one lamb dish. All very tasty if not overly hot and certainly big enough portions. With the bill we received a complimentary mango cocktail, which was nice and fresh.
I would definitely go to the Himalya again, this time as a first choce and not just because there was nowhere else to go..
