“amazing church!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

It's a beautiful church!
I loved the artwork inside the church a lot.
You can go up the tower and enjoy the beautiful view over Ulm.

“See Ulm...769 steps up.”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

So you visit Munich....you must visit Ulm. About 30 miles from Munich. Someplace you've probably never heard of... but I guarentee you'll never forget. Not a crowded tourist town but many old sites to see. Challenge yourself to climb the stairs to the top....I'm 65yo and I made it...spiral all the way up 769 stairs. How could they have built such a church to this height?...that's what you'll be thinking.

“A must see if in the Ulm area”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

A fine example of gothic architecture that should be on anyone's list of things to see in Ulm. In addition to a breathtaking interior, there is an opportunity to climb the tower if you have the interest and energy.

“Wonderful--but you best not be afraid of heights!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I have had the privileged of climbing the Munster not once, but twice in the past couple years. It is certainly a unique experience to say the least! I have done it in the middle of summer, and in the blustery cold of January. Each experience was fun and enjoyable. You cannot get more picturesque photos of Ulm and Neu Ulm but from the top of the steeple. The history is really interesting too. I recommend it to anyone who has the fortitude to climb the 700+ steps-- the view is worth it, and saying that you climbed the tallest steeple in the world is a fun factoid to take back home!

“Lots of stairs”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

The Ulm Munster is located an easy walk from the main train station and only a few blocks from the Rathaus. Inside is worth a visit, but the steeple climb is the main attraction. For 4E/person (May 2013) you can climb the 500+ stairs to a nice observation platform and then another 200+ to the top of the steeple. On a nice day the views are amazing, but it took us several attempts over a few years to find that nice day since the weather can be wet in the spring and summer (but keeps the plants green) and in the winter it can be a bit chilly.
