My wife had had dinner here with colleagues earlier, and she liked it so much, she reserved it for one of our "Date Nights".
My first impression upon entering was, "This is going to be expensive!" The decor is very impressive and comfortable, the host was friendly, outgoing, and gracious - not to mention, dressed in a waistcoat!
Our waiter recommended the appetizer, which was thinly sliced prociutto, salami, and cheese served with freshly baked bread. We loved it! Delicious local beer was served in a stone mug. Our meals were so delicious and perfectly prepared that my wife and I continuously sampled each other's dishes.
The waiter was very attentive, right up until we were ready to pay and leave. He was extremely busy, and was providing his best service possible to all customers, but he was working alone, and we waited for over a half an hour for our check. This was not enough to spoil the experience, however, and we do plan to visit again!
The Garbe is a bit pricey, but not too much for an occasional nice dinner out.
