The best hotel I've stayed at, ever. 5-Star. The room was beautiful and set up nicely. 10 foot ceilings. Tasteful decor. Mini-bar fridge with enough space to put a couple drinks (could have been a little bigger). Restaurant/breakfast area just the right size, well laid out.

Good:
•Quietest room ever, hotel built on a huge rock foundation, room on back side had no traffic noise at all
•Comfortable bed, sheets nice
•Room was very clean, carpets clean
•Nice furniture
•Very modern bathroom, good counter space, very clean, in top condition
•Shower water pressure/temperature good
•VERY good restaurant, the best Weiner Schnitznel we had on our trip, but relatively expensive. Worth it for the 5⭐️ Weiner Sch.
•Great breakfast bar- the usual continental spread, self serve, plus a full cooked salmon
•Most of the staff spoke at least some English, very polite
•Very close to main train station and downtown

Bad:
•European partial-shower wall. See *note
•Street in front of hotel has a lot of traffic due to construction

Stuttgart has a long term GIANT construction project to overhaul the train system which will take at least 7 more years (until about 2025). Getting from the hotel to the train station is still easy- you only have to cross the street and walk between the office buildings to get to the station, rather than along the street (which is possible but a little complicated due to barriers). A 7 minute walk.

*Europe apparently doesn't believe in shower curtains, 3 of 4 hotels on this trip did not have a complete door or curtain. The tub had only a 24 inch glass divider. Water easily splashed out while showering. I just don't understand.

Room tip: The street side (front of building) rooms are slightly noisier.

Dear guest,
Thank you so much for taking your time and share your experiences with us and other travellers. We are very glad that you had such a great time here in Stuttgart and at the ARCOTEL Camino. It means so much to us and we will be forwarding your compliments to our staff. Unfortunately there is indeed a lot of construction where we sadly don´t have any influence in. We would love to welcome you again and wish you a pleasant time up until then.

It was strange experience. First of all, the information on the breakfast is not written anywhere as it used to be in other hotels. We arrived, we were told where and when the breakfast takes place, no any information on the price were given as well as it is not written anywhere. At the end of our stay we payed more than a hundred euros for 4 breakfasts for 2 people. However, the breakfast itself were absolutely delicious and the waiters were very professional and welcome.
The room itself was large, clean and comfortable, except the strange concept to have a bathroom almost inside the room.
All facilities were not corresponding to 4-stars hotel, like no bathrobes, the water to be paid additionally and so one.
The fitness area has been good as well as the sauna.
At the end, I would rather recommend this hotel for business purpose than for couples or families.

We took the train to Stuttgart and chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the station. At the time, there were a lot of construction around the station and the main road to the hotel so we took a cab to get to it, although it's very close. When we left, we asked the staff if we can walk to the station and they showed us the walking path across the street that bypassed most of the construction. We saved some $$$ from that walk.

The hotel is off the main drag with the entrance on a side street going uphill. The hotel seems to be very modern on the decor, including the rooms. The staff we interacted with were stand offish but professional, not too friendly. Not sure if that's typical.

The room was large, with great decor, comfortable beds, and they set up the extra sofa bed for our daughter. We checked in early without any extra fees and came back later in the day. There was a turn down service since the beds were made up when we came back later. A nice touch was a personalized note from the General Manager with some macarons.

The hotel serves a great breakfast buffet and you can order some hot items such as fried eggs and omelets directly from the waiters. An interesting thing is that they put a whole honeycomb in the buffet if you want some honey. There's some honey on bottles as well. The breakfast has a nice selection of cold meats, muesli, yoghurt, sausages, cereals, coffee and juices. What I didn't like was that they charge breakfast separately at 22 euros per person - kinda expensive. They also charged me twice although a quick email resolved that before we even left the country.

A quirk is the room numbers start with a number 1 higher than the floor. so if your room number is 400 - it's on the 3rd floor.

While I can recommend the hotel, I would suggest other alternatives for breakfast. While the selection is good, it seems to pricey.

Dear guest,
Thank you very much for your feedback and for telling us and other travellers about your time in Stuttgart and your stay at the ARCOTEL Camino Stuttgart. We are happy to read you had a good time here and liked our hotel and your room that much. There is a lot of construction around the main station for sure but we are glad our staff was able to show you the best way through it. The price of the breakfast is EUR 22,00 per person as we offer our guests a huge variety of products with a high quality there. If you choose a rate where the breakfast is already included it´s cheaper than if you book it additionally. We would be happy to welcome you again and wish you a pleasant time up until then.

I stayed there from February 27 till March 2. The room was nice and had a high standard. I think the beds were excellent. Not too soft, but rather on the hard side. Which I prefer.

It is fairly close to the Hauptbahnhof, so you can choose to either take a taxi to where you are going or the tube. Since we were going back and forth to Messe Stuttgart, it was perfect for us.

The only thing that I was missing in it, was actually an ironing board and an iron. Though, that is only a minor issue.

All in all, I can highly recommend it.

This was a different hotel then I have stayed before. The front desk, at check in, was standoffish, but later there were friendly people there. The room, well, the bed was not made but the linen was at the end of the bed for you to make your own bed. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Overall a nice place with a unique building.

Room tip: The back rooms are less noisy.
