The hotel is situated within a 10-minute walking distance from the train station.
Although we had to walk uphill with our luggage, we did not find this too tiring.
The room was big and clean. Wi-Fi was provided in the room.
Given its reasonable price, I highly recommend this hotel.

The Arcotel is an excellent choice for business or tourism.

Rooms: Exceptionally large and bright with comfortable furnishings. Families will find that there is plenty of space for the huge bed and the large sofa bed. Windows took in plenty of light. Well equipped with flatscreen TV, coffee/tea maker, safe, robe and other amenities. The free internet worked reasonably well. Nice bathroom with tub. Some suggestions:
1. On premises food and drink (breakfast, minibar etc) was good, but a little overpriced. Pick up provisions at markets during the day or at the train station at night.
2. Save a climb by using the lower level front exit by the restaurant instead of the upper level rear exit by the hotel desk.

Location: The Arcotel is on a hill within easy walking distance of the main train station. It is in a somewhat sterile new office district, set a bit away from other hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. Some suggestions . . .
1. From the airport, take the S-Bahn to the main train station. Then use the west entrance and walk three blocks up the hill.
2. Buy the three day visitor transit pass from the hotel – it is a bargain at 10.60 euro. And very convenient
3. Use the Turlenstrasse transit station for easy access to U5 U6 U12 and U15 tram lines and the 44 bus line. This transit stop is closer than the main train station.
3. Take a tram or the 44 bus in the direction of the train station to reach the Schlossplatz and other tourist attractions.
4. Take a tram or bus away from the train station to catch a glimpse of ordinary neighborhoods and everyday life.

Staff: Efficient and friendly. One caution. I ordered a wake up call, and the phone in my room did not ring. Not sure what the problem was.

Stayed 3 nights with friends nd one baby. Good, quality hotel near trainstation and underground, about 5 minutes walk to the main shopping street. Rooms were clean, decoration was simple and modern.

Breakfast was excellent, they serve also pancakes and fresh apple juice when asked. Restaurant is austrian, so lots of meat dishes. Good wine selection. Nice lobby bar with good cocktails, not the cheapest place though,

There is also a spa are with infrapuna, steam and finnish sauna. It was small but clean and nice.

We had a such a great stay, staff was friendly, hotel was good, almost perfect. But they charged from us 3 nights parking fee, eventhough we didn`t even had rental car for 3 nights eventhough I told them we had it for 1 night. They corrected it after I had asked it twice. Weirdest part was that then they stopped talking to me, they just gave me a receipt, no sorry, thank you or good bye. It was very rude, unpolite farewell and unfortunately left bad memory from a great hotel and service, which otherwise was friendly and professional. We visit Stuttgart few times in year and without the annoiying end we would stay here again.

I typically like to stay in quaint B&B's, but there is something to be said for staying in a major chain hotel that knows how to do it right.

We stayed in Room 426. It was a very quiet room, smallish, but very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. My husband and I both slept well in the room.

The staff was wonderful and willing to help. I was so pleased when I had three postcards I wanted to mail and they pulled out postage and sent them for me -- one less thing to mess with. Breakfast was vast, think cruise ship. You can also order additional food from a menu.

The only negative is that the hotel is up on a hill. I thought we would be within walking distance of the train station and technically we were, but there was no way I would or probably could lug my luggage and my body up that hill. The train station taxis are less than gracious about taking you up the hill, so we simply gave the driver a better than usual tip and he left happy.

While I enjoyed all the hotels we stayed in, the Arcotel Camino was my favoirte of the trip and was also one of the better bangs for our bucks.

Room Tip: The heat lamp in the bathroom turned on when we flipped the lights to the room on, but were on a tim...

Stayed here recently [2 nights] during a business trip.

Pros: modern hotel, comfortable, all desired amenities for business travel. also: great proximity to the main station, as well as the city center with many bars and restaurants to choose from.

Cons: relatively pricey bar and restaurant, with rather limited menu selection. We did eat in during one of the nights. Food was not bad, but also not a gourmet experience. With so many other choices nearby, I would recommend venturing into town.

Parking can be a bit of a problem since they have limited space in the below-deck garage. Tight spaces, but that's also European. One of the nights I was forced to park on the street since there was no room in their parking structure and my rental car got keyed. Nothing the hotel can do about that however.

Either way, I would stay here again during a next trip if the price was right...

This is a business hotel that I use regularly when in Stuttgart, and is located approx. 400m from the main station, so you can walk it without problems. If by chance it´s raining, don´t expect your taxi driver to be enthusiastic about the trip. The rooms are well stocked for the business traveller, the restaurant is reasonable, but the number of staff can be low at weekends, so service can suffer a little. There might be an opportunity for a degree more of charm and a little less faux-professionalism in the bar. It doesn´t help to apologise if guests have to wait for service, as was the case at around 9pm when I visited. But all in all a very good hotel with a reasonable price-performance ratio.

Room Tip: Facing away from the main road

We stayed at Arcotel Camino Stuttgart in July 2008 for one night and we regreat that we didn't stay longer.
I found this great hotel by chance, I wanted a hotel close to central station and search google maps for hotels. This hotel had opened in April of 2008 and was only a couple of months old.

It's very close to all the sites and we walked everywhere.

The rooms we amazing, nothing but class at this place. The mattress was very comfortable. And toilet and shower where in seperate rooms.

I would defintly stay here again, if I get the chance to go to Stuttgart again.
