Having tried Turkish and Chinese restaurants during a recent trip to Stuttgart, it was time to find an Indian restaurant to enjoy a flavoursome curry.
Arriving at the Prince of India, one is greeted with a small, intimate restaurant that is out of town and therefore, somewhat quiet. Traditionally, it is the small out of town restaurants that are often owned by families, that deliver the best food. Sadly, this is not the case at this restaurant.
As a starter, I had the Mixed Pakora dish; it was a large portion, but tasted as though it had been cooked sometime earlier and re-fried to heat it up.
I generally don't order the stereotypical "European" Indian curries such as Tandoori Chicken Tikka Masala, but on this occasion, it look like one of the better dishes on the menu. Unfortunately, it lacked any sophistication in the use of herbs and spices - it reminiscent of a chicken stew.
