We had lunch and went to the museum on a beautiful day in June. The restaurant was fantastic.
The museum was incredible.

2013 is the 50th anniversary of the 911 Porshe. The many model numbers to look at and touch was just incredible. You forget that these cars are built to be racing machines until you walk into the museum. With museum entry - we were shocked to find that the earphone tour was free. It made for a quiet and calm museum visit. We all wandered around at our own pace and learned about the cars.

Everyone in our party were engineers - so it was a geek fest for us.

We also visited the MB Museum when in the area and liked it much better. This was interesting and some good exhibits but it felt a little flat to our entire family including some car enthusiasts. Good to visit but not great.

We enjoyed this museum and were glad we visited after the Mercedes Benz museum rather than the other way around. It's quite a bit smaller, but still has a lot to see. There is currently a special exhibit for the 50th year of the 911 and I got an admission discount because I was also born in 1963! I would have liked a larger gift shop and could not find a magnet for my collection.

So much to see and it's not only Porsche - they had the original VW Beetle there. They change the museum car exhibits to keep things interesting. This last weekend they are dedicated to the 911s. Museum closes at 6 p.m. and I would suggest at least 1.5 to 2 hours to see the museum.

Loved the architecture and the way the beautiful and interesting cars were displayed.
Great if you have a little older kids .
