Tagged along with my husband thinking how could you spend 5 - 6 hours in a car museum. Admittedly he wanted to take photos hence the time frame. But it was very impressive. The 8 euro entry includes an audio guide, which is not common at places like these. Audio guide gave extensive historical information about most of the exhibits and this was well done and added value. There is some limited interactive experiences, maybe they could develop more. The staff were very friendly, even opening up car doors so you could get photos. Building itself is a work of art and well worth a detailed look. The restaurant on the top floor looks impressive but delivered the worst Caesar salad I have ever had and a fairly basic pasta dish. Maybe they focus on the steak grill ahead of other dishes? All in all 5 hours went in a flash.

The Porsche museum is definitely a must see if you're a car enthusiasts. I visited the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart several months ago so I was curious to see how the Porsche museum compared. The admission price is very reasonable. 8 Euros per person for adults and children under age 14 are admitted free. The museum is not as big as the Mercedes Benz museum, so we were able to get through the museum in a couple of hours compared to the four hours we spent at the Mercedes Benz museum. But it was still very informative and there’s plenty to see while you’re there. The gift shop was nice and there was a nice selection of inexpensive souvenirs. There is also a restaurant and coffee shop located in the museum but I didn’t try any of the food out. If you’re in Stuttgart and have the time, I would definitely recommend visiting this museum in addition to the Mercedes Benz museum. If you only have time to do one museum while visiting Stuttgart, then I would pick the Mercedes Benz museum over this one.

Good value, not a huge place but some really amazing cars. Good cafe, shop a little disappointing, seemed to be lot of retro stuff from one company.
Great racing and road cars.
