“Much better than expected”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

So I drive a Benz, but wasn't so sure what a car museum would do for me (being a lover of the outdoors). I was surprised at how interesting the museum was! It's not just a history of the car, but of the people who built them and the reason the company is so successful. I should have spent more than the 2 hours I allowed!!!

“An amazing museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

Nothing not to like even if you are not a museum buff. Wear comfy shoes and be prepared to spend a good 2-3 hours at a minimum learning not only about Mercedes but also about the world's timeline history (a rather objective presentation!) as it paralleled this auto industry. For your finale, don't skip the museum's restaurant -- fantastic food!

“Incredible - more than I expected!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

I went with a group of friends, including 4 girls, all with very varying levels of interest in cars. Despite few of us being anything close to car enthusiasts, we still all found enough here to entertain ourselves for a couple of hours (one could easily spend much longer). There are plenty of models and interactive stations in addition to the cars and multimedia displays and a lot of historical information to put everything into context. All of this is a bargain for the entry price (4EU for students). The simulator at the end, on the other hand, is not worth the additional 4EU - you don't control anything and don't even experience more than about 10 seconds of a race before it jolts away to a different one.

We also ate at the restaurant in the basement which was quite good.

“Must for every one even if not auto enthusiast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

The museum is an absolute must place to visit even if you are not an auto enthusiast. It has some facts that go beyond just mercedes.

The cars on display are amazing. They have vintages to the latest release. It is amazing to see how one car company has been able to continue to rule the auto world thru innovation and german engineering - t its best.

The race car simulator is worth 4 Euros.

The walk from the train station is very close - about 500 mtrs and you can see the building from the train station. It is a very pleasant walk and easy walk even during winters.

They have a coat check which is included in the 8 Euros fees. The other thing included is the audio commentary equipment. At the end of the tour you get to keep the cool neck strap that you can use with your id cards etc.

The souvenir shop is worth a visit with many items made in Germany things.

“Amazing collection”

Car fan? You will be blown away by the collection of cars and information the mercedes benz museum has. Make sure to ask your hotel/hostel about discount passes or show your student id for a discount as well
