Occasionally you stay at a hotel that has a high opinion of itself despite the evident problems. This supposedly luxurious hotel has plastic service, bland rooms and a prison block style layout. Low floors internally have reduced natural light and externally face a busy road. The breakfast resturant has no natural light and a bizarre layout that sits everybody in a corridor. There is no evident service and breakfast required assertiveness in the queues. When I pointed out the issues in the hotel's own quality survey I received an aggressive email from the assistant manager asking for more evidence. Hmmm.

It's close to the train station, museums, and central downtown. The room I had was excellent and was big on Europe standards. The staff were exceptional and the bar and restaurant is great. Take a left out of the front and walk 10 minutes and you will find numerous restaurants and pubs.

Everything about the Meridien was nice:
- Rooms are very comfortable with all amenities expected
- Location is great
- Food was very good.Breakfast was the best I have ever had in a city hotel
- Service was professional

We spent 8 wonderful nights at Le Meridien and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The staff was very efficient and accommodating. Our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed.

The hotel’s amenities included a pool, hot tub and fitness center—all of which added to our already wonderful experience. Parking is a modest 20 Euro per day and a taxi to the airport generally runs about 30 Euro. The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the Stuttgart Train Station and the city’s main shopping district. We found the breakfast buffet (30 Euro per person) to be quite enjoyable and a great way to start the day. During our stay, we had a chance to enjoy the Friday Evening French Buffet. At 39 Euro per person, dinner included a plethora of meats, cheeses, fish, salads, side dishes and desserts—and it was clearly the best buffet food we’ve ever eaten.

Our only suggestion for the hotel would be to add free wi-fi services. Wi-fi rates are 6 Euro per hour or 14 Euro for 24 hours. As an upper scale business hotel, it only makes sense to include this 21st Century amenity in the price of every room.

If your travels take you to Stuttgart, be sure to stay at Le Meridien. You’ll be so glad you did!

This hotel is centrally located near shopping, restaurants, and train station. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We needed assistance in shipping our souvenirs back home and the concierge was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The spa and pool are top-notch, the rooms very spacious. The hotel bar and restaurant were terrific. On our last evening we toasted to a wonderful vacation, enjoying a scrumptious French buffet at the hotel. Would definitely enjoy this hotel again.
