My wife and I chose to stop at the Ochsen on a trip to Stuttgart - we didn't fancy central Stuttgart much and Ochsen was only a short journey from the city centre.
Inviting looking establishment, with what I would describe as a typically German (/Bavarian?) bar area and restaurant. We dined there twice; they have a good menu selection, the food was very good, and reasonably priced.
Breakfast served in a separate room; tea, coffee, freshly squeezed orange & grapefruit juice available, usual selection of cold meats & cheeses, plus cereal, fruit, yoghurts, cakes, hot food...the list goes on!
Bedroom was nicely appointed, good size, however, for those expecting any English speaking channels on the TV, you're out of luck!
Room (and all of the hotel area) and bathroom were spotless. Fruit and chocs on arrival.
One flaw - the "double" bed was two twins pushed together (apparently a fairly standard feature in Germany)...this was a little uncomfortable (the join in the middle, if you like to cuddle your partner at night), and the beds seemed a little short (I'm only 5'10") but feet appeared to be at / over the end of the bed, and the bed cover seemed a little short too...
Staff were very friendly and accomodating.
And there's plenty of parking (small private car park behind hotel) but plenty of on-road parking too.
Very enjoyable stay.
If you happen to be looking for a base from which to visit the likes of the Porsche or MB museums, or the Porsche factory, then would highly recommend the Ochsen.
