“Special note for the Piano Bar and breakfast”
Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Hello everyone!
I stayed at the Maritim last week,
And I had to stop by to talk about some things I really enjoyed!
First of all the Piano Bar at the lobby!
That was a great and special place! In this beautiful lobby you find a little cosy mini jazz bar. The musician was great the music was not too loud, you had breaks to talk and enjoy and you could have great drinks, where you also wouldn't have to wait for so long. The whiskey card is great as well as the wine card.

Second good point was the breakfast, me and my colleagues could enjoy our different fresh made omelette, and the coffe was actually good (for the German standards of hotel coffee)!!!

My room did have a strange smell on the first day though... Which was gone after the second day of stay... (Maybe the last person in there was not very clean) hehe

Sincerely yours,
Vini Gomes

The hotel is good without being over the top, however, I feel the rooms lack the standard that I expected the hotel to have especially when you have to walk to the other wing to get there. I must the say the neighbours were quiet since I overlooked a lovely cemetary! The food was ok but nothing to write home about but the service was always good.

Dear Manuel,

Thank you very much for your post at tripadvisor.
Yes, it is a bit to walk to our second wing but - as you told - the neighbours from our park are really quiet ;) The cemetery was closed at about 1890 and remained as a park.

I visited Stuttgart during the trade fair and chosen this hotel for the second time in 3 years.
Hotel is situated within 15 min. walking distance from the city centre (Koenig Strasse). Trade fair visitors can take S2 or S3 train from Stadtmitte metro station which is less than 10 min. from the hotel.
Hotel is very clean with spacious bathrooms, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Very vast choice for breakfast in lavishly designed dining room is one of the hotel's strongest points. Unfortunately there was no time to visit the gym and other hotel facilities.
Business travelers have business centre with computers and printers at their disposal. Concerning the connection to the Internet, guests can use the expensive cable connection (15€ daily) or T-Mobile wi-fi (1h, 10 h, 30 days) which is a far better solution.
Bottom line, this was a very pleasant stay in Stuttgart and I look forward to another CMT.

First visit to Stuttgart.....you kind of have a couple of choices when visiting a new city.....firstly look for hotel brands you know and trust......or research as much as you have time for and go for good feedback nearest your location.
I'm happy enough on this visit as I went for the latter.
The hotel is well run.....everyone I met was polite and helpful.
The foyer and restaurant and bars are quite grand.....a little dated....but spotless.
Rooms are spacious....clean....including linen, towels, etc.
Air con in the rooms.....softer beds than some continental experiences...
Good choice at breakfast...with efficient service....even when busy.
I would not hesitate to stay again for a reasonable rate.
My guess is its a very dependable choice...

This is a modern, outskirts of town hotel. Very clean and rather grand. Bedroom/bathroom large and well equipped. No safe/no tea making. Restaurant meals were excellent and dining room very grand and a good ambience. The staff very helpful and friendly.
Would definitely stay again.
One thing I would criticise is the staff smoking right outside the main entrance. Not a good first impression for arriving guests.
Too far out of city to walk - a taxi would be required.
Prices - as one would expect for this standard of hotel.

Once you leave the nice lobby it's all down hill, room is quite average maybe even tacking looking at the curtains, TV is from a decade ago and the bathroom had nothing but soap and bad towels also a king size bed is not putting 2 singles together. Breakfast was average.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your post at tripadvisor.

You are right, to single beds together is not a king size bed.
King size beds are not common in Germany so we don't have them in all rooms. But if you give our reservation department a hint at your next reservation it would be possible to get you a room with king size bed.

Kind regards and see you your next time in Stuttgart,
