An early 1990s hotel with a slightly dated feel, but very well looked after as is so often the case with German hotels. Located adjacent to a small shopping centre, theatre and cinema, and a 10 minute walk into the main city centre area, or a 3 minute walk from the nearest U-bahn station.
The hotel is in two blocks, with an underground link to the lobby and restaurants, but you can also cross over outside should you feel like a bit of air, and save a coulple of minutes. The breakfast service is excellent, a very wide range of continental and cooked foods, breads, juices, even sparkling wine. The evening dinner is also very good, if a little expensive if eating a la carte. The lobby bar has outdoor seating, and catches the evening sun, and offers a nice location for a beer at a reasonable cost.
Our room in the garden wing was dated in appearance, but very well looked after and spotless. Would come again if the rate was right.
