An early 1990s hotel with a slightly dated feel, but very well looked after as is so often the case with German hotels. Located adjacent to a small shopping centre, theatre and cinema, and a 10 minute walk into the main city centre area, or a 3 minute walk from the nearest U-bahn station.

The hotel is in two blocks, with an underground link to the lobby and restaurants, but you can also cross over outside should you feel like a bit of air, and save a coulple of minutes. The breakfast service is excellent, a very wide range of continental and cooked foods, breads, juices, even sparkling wine. The evening dinner is also very good, if a little expensive if eating a la carte. The lobby bar has outdoor seating, and catches the evening sun, and offers a nice location for a beer at a reasonable cost.

Our room in the garden wing was dated in appearance, but very well looked after and spotless. Would come again if the rate was right.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your good rating at trip advisor.

It is nice to see, that our guests fell well at our hotel.

As we have sometimes special rates - for example on weekends - it souldn't be a problem to come back to us sometime; we would appreciate this.

This was our first time to Stuttgart. Very nice hotel, with a nice long walk into the shopping areas. I just found the hotel rather disjointed, its two hotel, and in both different spots, but connected underground. Our room was fine, it just had no room safe, which I found odd, as the rest of our group had, The room was adequate, and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent.Oh our air con never worked and the rooms main window was a bit loose so we were nervous to open it too wide. But never complained as we were in the room for such a short time

Room Tip: Its a matter of requesting a room

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your post.

It is one hotel, but located in two different buildings:
The main building with the reception, restaurants and about 250 rooms and the "park wing" with the rest of the rooms and our meeting area. The "park wing" is a bit quieter as it is located to direction of the park.

Sorry for the inconveniences with the safe. Usually, each room has a safe, perhaps this one was in service. For this case, we have also safe boxes at our reception.

We would be very happy to welcome you again while your next stay in Stuttgart.

Kind regards,

Matthias Maier

My company hosted a conference using the facilities at Maritim Hotel and it was a great event. The main presentation room was large and wonderful and the coffee/tea/water/juice flowed abundantly and conveniently. The lunch was exquisite.

The facility is generally very good.

We stayed in this hotel because we were catching an early train from the nearby Stuttgart station. It is very impressive in every way. The staff were very helpful at all times, and the rooms were excellent with good aircon - we slept very well. Dinner was just superb, and a good range of wines are available if a little expensive. Breakfast was exceptional, both in range and quality (including full English) - the chef was there to cook your food just the way you want it. Wifi is provided but at a ridiculous price (€8 per hour) and not particularly fast (1.5Mb/s); I couldn't connect my smart phone so I connected the LAN cable in the bedroom to my netbook and it worked fine. I would highly recommend the hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. Last year in the older, main part of the hotel, and this year in the newer (I think) tower. The older part was not as nice, but it was closer to the lobby and breakfast area. The tower is a long hike from from the reception area and dining rooms, but for me, since I had to walk that way anyway using the tower door in the morning and evening was better than going through the main lobby. There was no coffee machine in the older room a year ago. This year, in the tower room, I had a coffee maker. The included breakfast is an amazing buffet, more choices than I've seen at any other hotel, and the dining room is large. The hotel is near an office complex and concert halls, next to a lovely old cemetery, and close to a large park. A couple odd things: There is no iron in the room. If you want to iron clothes, you need to ask for a key to the ironing room. There is Internet in the room, but only ethernet. You need to go through an outside service to buy wifi - which you must do if you have an iPad or smart phone (as I did) and not a laptop. Also, you can get a key and use the business center computer and Internet for 20 minutes without paying. Last year, smoking was allowed in the small, enclosed piano bar. I didn't check to see if that was true this year. Having lunch outside on the patio was lovely and i liked that it was so close to a natural foods grocery store. People at the reception desk were always helpful and all spoke English fluently.

Traveling for business but had the weekend off so was able to get around to the local sites. The hotel is easily within walking distance of the shopping district, university, downtown green area, clubs, and pretty much anything that a person could want including metro lines. I've stayed in the hotel on two different occasions, once in spring and again in the fall. In fact visited during a spring event at the central plaza, Opel car show and music festival...don't remember exactly the reason but it was fun none the less.

Both times the room was clean, enjoyable to stay in and very quiet. It was a little bit of a maze to get to it since my room each time was in the second building which you have to go through the hotel lobby and then a passageway, you cannot get to it from the outside. Believe these are the 'standard rooms' and the excutive/suite rooms are in the main building. Still they are more than large enough for business or couples traveling.

Hotel has a great bar, coffee shop and resturant. Didn't eat at the resturant but the menu looked good and the prices seemed ok.

The best part is all the staff spoke english, my german is at best very rusty so having the added confidence that I wasn't doing/saying something that would lead to a misunderstanding made me feel much better.

I would highly recommend the hotel and will stay there again if the opportunity presents itself.

Room Tip: Both times I stayed the rooms were in the second building, excellent on both occasions. Can be a li...

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your post at tripadvisor.

We are very happy to see that you felt well at our hotel and to give your regards to our chief at breakfast kitchen.

We also could provide Wifi at the hotel. It is not directly from us but from our partner T Mobile.
Just ask our reception team at your next stay with us and they could help you to "install" it at your laptop.
