“Great location & staff”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

NB You cannot check in after 11pm.

The hostel is in a great location and the staff were really helpful. I stayed with friends at the hostel and there seemed to be some variation in the price paid for the room and the sizes of the rooms but it was still good value for the centre of the city. There is no lift and stairs up to the 6th floor.

Room Tip: There is no lift so if you don't like the stairs choose a lower floor 1st floor is lowest. Be cl...

The hostel is centrally located and a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof, or you can take a train to Stadt Mitte for an even closer walk. Reception is NOT 24 hours. There's a nice lounge area with couches and a TV. They have free WiFi and computer terminal to use for free in the breakfast area, but it only seems to be open while reception is open.

I stayed in a mixed six bed dorm and frankly, it smelled like feet. I don't know if that was the hostel's fault or not. There was a bathroom and shower down the hall. The women's shower area wasn't super private. There are individual shower doors, but no place for you to change privately.

Stayed at the interhostel with 4 other friends and we were expecting one other stranger to be in our 6-bed room but luckily we had the room I ourself for all 4 nights.

Unfortunately we didn't have en-suite but the showers and toilet were close by and I didn't even see another hostel resident whilst attempting to use the facilities so it wasn't even a problem.

Location wise this really is handy, right by a U-Bahn station and only 5 minutes walk from the Stadtmitte S-Bahn and the main pedestrian areas of the city and a selection I bars and restaurants.

For the room, don't expect luxury, very very basic but with lockers and free wifi so very good value for what we paid!

I stayed with friends, 3 other adults and 3 children under the age of 4. The room was clean the beds well kept. Nose from the road wasn't too bad, the beds are pretty squeeky but that is expected at most hostels with metal beds. I would have prefered there to be some towels and soap in the bathroom as a courtesy. Overall, a great stay close to the city. I would recommend to anyone for a short stay!

Close to center, nice kitchen, wifi.
Not really expensive for this town but expensivenevertheless.
Was not able to book online fhen on arrival rooms were available. I took a risk. I stayed longer than expected, 10 days.

I stayed at the Inter Hostel for two nights – the 21st and 22nd September 2012. I have nothing but positives to say about the Hostel & the staff that work there! Our stay at the hostel was for a sports team (self-funded) and we were travelling to Stuttgart to play a local team there. This meant that there were 18 of us to be accommodated. I got in touch with the Hostel by email a couple of months before hand and the staff reserved us 3 x 6 bedroom dorms.

We emailed a couple of times between booking and our actual stay, and we always received a speedy response. Our flight was a little delayed when we landed on the Friday night, but the staff kept someone on reception until we arrived after 11pm.

We were allocated three dorms on separate floors and they looked just as they did on the website! We found the bunk beds to be comfortable – not very noisy and the bedding was clean & kept us warm & comfy!

The rooms were quite warm on the first night so we had the window open, but soon learnt just how loud the church bells were from the church across the road - I'd suggest making sure your window is closed as these are loud enough to wake people.

The rooms were very clean, as were the bathrooms on the floor. The toilets always had toilet paper, and the shower rooms were immaculate.

None of us had breakfast at the hostel so we cannot comment on that, but the coffee from the machine in the reception / lounge area was very nice! There were plenty of shops next to the hostel and it was only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre at most!

When it came to checking out on the Sunday morning, again the staff were very efficient and friendly.

All in all, the stay was fantastic & I would definitely recommend the Hostel to other travellers.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November. Nice, clean, cosy hostel near the centre of Stuttgart. Excellent choice for a backpacker or single traveller! Free coffee in the morning. Free WiFi. The bed in 6-bed dorm costs about 20 euros - one of the cheapest accomodation in Stuttgart
