There was a doubt on why we parked at an abandoned industrial-like area where there is no sign of a restaurant… thinking we were lost but the GPS indicated we were there. Maybe it was part of the mystery with a bit of psychological thingy (whatever medical term it's called).for me, it is a mind-trick..Then the baffling modern interior with an Art gallery next to it.. a-huh! Before we dined, we were served drinks outside with just a rectangular pool view at the outskirts of flat grass and the rest of the gallery at the background (as far as i can recall).. The simplicity and mixed weirdness of the setting really intrigued me on what am I to expect..which i will not write..so one can experience the same thing as mine or perhaps another worthy text to write..But all i can say, what you have paid for is actually beyond what you get here ~ the food is artistically done which i can describe as outstanding, unique, complex.. the flavors are mixed well enough and the courses are well thought off.. We were there for almost 6 hours just enjoying the company of friends and that was well worth it (where not almost all restaurants can offer) which is time, service and attention..

I have been to many 1 star, 2 star and 3 star Michelin restaurants around the world....and none seem to amaze me as much as Amador. He really understands "Balance" when it comes to offering creative new dishes as each one is so interesting but yet balanced on your pallet.

This is my 5th time back and it seems like each time he exceeds my expectations. He really knows what he is doing....and unlike many 3 star chefs...he is there in the kitchen making sure your dining experience as exceptional.

the service is also impeccable and friendly...and very knowledgeable about wines...they offered us a wonderful selection of paired whites and reds....

it is a bit of a drive outside of the city of frankfurt but its truly worthwhile for the whole expereince...

Of course, with 3 Michelin Stars, our expectations were high when dining at Amador on a chilly February evening.
We had been driven some distance to get there and, as we entered a drab industrial and retail park and pulled up next to a Metro wholesale warehouse, I though our driver must be lost.
But no, in the middle of somewhere drab, stands Amador in a stunning, surprising space, which is something between an art gallery and a restaurant - and the same could be said about the food.
The service is excellent, the theatre of each course is amazing. The food is quirky, delicious and much of it presented on unusual and interesting tableware.
So, this is a place for a special visit, for the 'entertainment' as much as dining. It could never be ones local to visit every week - but as a rare (and different) treat, its certainly somewhere to head for.

An outstanding evening of constant delight for a group of very well-travelled and experienced publishers during the Book Fair in far-off Frankfurt. Ther drive for dinner was worth it. This is the best meal I have had since El Bulli. The staff are friendly co-conspirators in making this one of the world's great dining experiences.

Ok let's get this straight. This is a fantastic restaurant with fantastic service, fantastic staff and fantastic food and drink. It is however not worth anywhere near the 280 euros per head that we paid. There is not adequate warning of this either via their website or in the tripadvisor reviews. It is also in a shockingly unattractive and industrial area of town. Be warned in advance unsuspecting tourist. Go there if you have serious cash to burn only.
