“Good day out for kids”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

There is enough variety here in terms of pools, slides etc, to keep a family busy for up to the four hours which came at a price of €29. Kids really enjoyed it - all kids from age 3-12. I found the cafe expensive, with ´table water´ costing 2.50 a glass! Also, if you hadnt planned on spending all day there, the four hour deal was the cheapest we were offered, so I would recommend you go with time on your hands. There is also an outdoor pool with sun loungers. Today was not busy at all, perfect amount of space.

“Fun for the Family, But Best For Kids Over 10 Years Old”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

Although there is something for all ages, the slides were definitely for older kids. The white water slide is truly for good swimmers and the rocket slide is for the very brave! The circular slide where you ride on tubes is fun for all ages but can be tricky as our tube flipped over several times. It could be scary for the younger kids under 7. Also the family slide is quite crowded on the weekends with kids sliding down and running up the stairs. The water is definitely too deep for the younger kids to walk from the bottom on the slide to the stairs and it is a narrow passageway with parents escorting their kids to and from the stairs. It is actually of bad design if you ask me. The slide is meant for toddlers but the pool it drops into is over waist deep and not for toddlers. The whirlpool has a very strong current to the point where you could not stop from being pushed downstream even as an adult. Hold on to your little ones! The all ages pool was nice with a shallow area going to about chest deep. It was good for building confidence in your kids who cannot swim. The lap pool also had an obstacle course that was lowered down during set times. It is not for younger kids as it is quite challenging and better for those 10 and over. There is a kids area for the wee ones to play and perfect for 2 and under. The food was decently priced and tasty. For a fee of 34 euro, a family of four can spend all day there and eat & drink for about 40 euros.

“indoor swimming”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Europabad is a mainly indoor swimming complex with some ok water slides one of which you can only use if you are over 10yrs old. There is also a whirlpool which creates a very strong current and not suitable for young children. The place is best visited Monday - Friday when there will be fewer people there. The weekends can be manic. Pay for two hours stay for four. Europabad is ok but there are better pools in Karlsruhe.

“German sauna and Aquapark”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

Pools, saunas, slides, restaurants, open air terrace... If you can cope with all the rules of a German Sauna, I suggest you test the saunas as well. If you are adventurous, you go to the slides. Money well spent in a clean environment.

“Disappointing for an 8 year old”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

We went to the Europabad on a wednesday. There were only 15 people in the swimming part, we didn't visit the sauna part. Because it was wednesday, we could visit 4 hours for the price of 2 hours.

We came here especially for the slides, but those were disappointing. One red slide was almost vertical, so it looked to scary for an 8 year old. An other black slide was completely closed.

There was a wild water rapid but this was only allowed for children that were 10 years old and at least 1.35 meters tall. The information panel said that it was possible to get an injury in the wild water rapid and this information panel was right. The waterstream was extremely powerfull, about three times as strong as the other wild water rapids I've visited, and there are very sharp bends. Although I am a very experienced swimmer in open water my elbow got badly hurt. You really need a special kind of technique to get down the rapid safely. I also think this rapid with its sharp bends is not suited to tall people, because the bends are not big enough.

Fortunately there was one really nice slide that needed to be used with a big float. You had to drag the float from the cellar up four stairs, so it was a good workout too. There was a nice outdoor pool with really warm water and "bubble sofas" and also a big indoor steamroom in the swimming area.

For really small children it is a nice complex. There is a small slide, a big warm shallow pool and an attractive water play area.
