“Great hotel”
Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful hotel run by the friendliest family with the best breakfast in Karlsruhe! Close to the city center and the palace. Nothing was too much trouble for the kind staff. We will certainly return to this hotel.

Nice hotel in the city center. Not really new, but everything is well maintained. Rooms very clean, good mattress, soft bedlinen. Neighbourghood very quiet.
About the breakfast buffet: vegetables, cheese, meat, fruit, biscuits: very tastefull prepared. Great value for 9 euro. Attentive staff.
Good signposted. This is necessar because of the many trafficworks in the neighbourhood. No problem to drive trough the small corridor into the carparking. The receptionist will give you the right instructions.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor (elevator till 4th floor, than stairs): unbelieveble quiet for the ci...

very good location. The staff are so used to the tight entrance into the courtyard that they help you line up your car just so. The first time anyone's gone and volunteered to fetch me a cup of tea from the breakfast buffet. And helped with the luggage

We enjoyed a good rest in this hotel for one night at the weekend. It is in a very quiet street but with good access to all the shops and sights of the town. The management is very friendly and attentive. The room was spacious and comfortable with TV and modernised bathroom. Sumptuous breakfast, fantastic choice, with very polite and efficient waitress in charge and overall we found this to be excellent value for the tariff charged.

My first impression when entering the small hotel lobby was misleading.
Indeed the hotel is small but well-maintained. The room was small (I booked single room) without any interesting view from the window but was clean and comfortable, with working desk and very fast internet. Bathroom was also nice and clean.
The hotel staff was very friendly and breakfast has a nice selection.
Mostly recommended if you are coming for a short business trip.

Room Tip: Avoid floor 5 if you have difficulty to climb stairs - elevator reach only 4th floor.

Hotel staff has been very nice and friendly. Free wifi (very good signal in the room). Room was very clean and I enjoyed very much breakfast. The hotel is really close to the city center, you can easily walk there and the S-bahn stop is also nearby. Currently, the city is undergoing a lot of street work but the hotel is located in a very quite part (no street noise).

Deceivingly unspectacular outside of the hotel causes an aha-moment when inside, clean, functional and friendly interior, friendly, efficient and attentive staff, good size, quiet double rooms, had a peak into small functional single rooms as well, secure parking available, also low cost resident visitor parking with plenty of spaces available on the road (ticket available from reception), free wifi, great breakfast with wide selection of cereals, breakfast meats, cheese, eggs, bacon, great assortment of bread and pastries, juices, coffee and teas, walking distance to city centre (very convenient considering the road works (underground system) and oneway streets.
