It might be an old place. They have three buildings with rooms. Different degrees of old and style. But the most imporrant thing: everything is very clean and the staff is really helpful and friendly.
Very good breakfast with lots of fresh things. The dinner is really delicious!

I basically live in the hotels, and there is 2 things I want to have in the early mornings, WiFi and coffee, and if they both are missing, I get extremely unsatisfied....and that was the case in this hotel.

No coffee anywhere before breakfast, and the breakfast itself was suppose to be served at 6:30, but they started approx 15 minutes delayed.
In the room, there was small card with WiFi password wrote by hand, and I just could not find out the correct password from it. Then I got bit more clear card from reception, but guess what, it still didn´t work!!

Hotel itself is located in the small, nice town.

Breakfast was ok, not so many options but tasty, staff was very friendly.

Buchen is a lovely place and this historic hotel made a good impression, also the comments at tripadvisor.
The room was clean but the furniture old. The armchairs were completely worn out with sunken cushions - unfeasible. The bed was OK, but the sheet (and also the towels) scraggly. The desk without any light and the TV-remote can not be used to zap through the program. WLAN was excellent and also the breakfast. May be there are other room categories but they were not sold out. Never again.

Room tip: only in the new building !

7 of us stayed here for 2 nights 5 adults and 2 children. The family room for the adults and children turned out to be 2 connecting rooms with 2 showers etc. Very convenient as the children could be seperated when getting a bit stressed. Rooms were in the old section, very nice, not overly big but sufficient. Breakfast was not much to write home about, probably typical german style. Would have loved to try dinner as the food looked great, unfortunately we were attending a wedding and did not get a chance. No problem recommending the hotel, families seem to be very welcome.
