“Light & tasteful rooms, good location - plan parking before you arrive!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Very happy with my choice here, wanted to be close to town but not in a tourist district. Easy walking to the river (and up the cliffs on the other side), easy walk into the tourist area. Rooms were very tastefully decorated, not too heavy or ornate.
Sort out the parking before you arrive - the hotel has a deal with one of the parking stations, but you need to find the right one - and plug the address into the GSP well before you arrive in town, otherwise you'll end up at the wrong parking station and you'll walk too far. Also - you can park outside the hotel to drop off your bags, and then head off to the garage.

We stayed back in 2008 and I can't wait to go back again. The hotel is in a great location. The room was quite large and very well appointed. The breakfast in the cellar was great. We spoke to the owner during breakfast and she was very nice and helpful. This is definately the place to stay in Heidelberg.

Wonderful boutique hotel with river outlook, beautiful furnishings, bright and clean, WiFi; breakfast room quaint, with nice choice of food. Major hiccup was arriving at night, as even with GPS/TomTom we kept getting lost in the old town and one-way streets and found it difficult to see the Hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff and would love to stay again and explore Heidelberg more.
Once orientated, recommended parking station was fine

My husband and I stayed 4 nights here and appreciated every minute of it. The hotel has 3-star prices with 5-star service. True it has no sauna, fitness studio, conference rooms and the general added attractions of a 5-star hotel, yet the general awareness of making a guest's stay peaceful and comfortable is at a 5-star level. The rooms are quiet. The maids are around early in the morning but they make no noise and do not bother you in your room if you are a late sleeper. Reception is very attentive to any wish a guest has. The hotel is immaculately clean. The breakfast is freshly prepared and the eggs do not sit and get hard and cold in a mound. The hotel is located in the middle of the old city and very convenient. Finally the hotel has an elevator and a modern air conditioning system that totally replaces the air in the room with fresh air every hour in the winter and three times an hour in the summer - all without any noise or drafts. The hotel is family owned and does a great service to guests in Heidelberg.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Synagogue Platz are a bit quieter, but the rooms facing the river have windows that...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean with nice high ceilings. The location is perfect, close to the downtown area and the river. Despite being on ground level next to a very busy road, the room was remarkably quiet.

Staff is wonderfull. Free internet not works well and it is a little burocratic to access.
Breakfast is honest. The rooms are good. During the night sometimes the room temperature
is so hot. The pillows could be better.

Room Tip: the standards rooms it is better than top rooms.
