Picked this hotel after reading the reviews. It was okay - overrated. Disclaimer - my opinion may be the result of being accustomed to bigger city hotels.
Parking - a very small parking garage. Had trouble finding a space upon arrival and had to surrender the car key as we ended up parking obstructively. They wouldn't let us leave our car there while we went out to sightsee on the day we checked out.
Service - due to the small size of the hotel, it means that there is only one person on duty at the reception at any point in time. Had to wait a long time both checking in and out as the person was either not there or was attending to someone else. There is no concierge. The guy who handled our check in was nice and gave us directions to the main stretch of shops/restaurants (3 minutes' walk). However the lady handling our checkout did a bad job of describing how to get to the castle (she did not tell us about the funicular train). The city map provided was a pixellated black and white photocopy that was difficult to follow and we got lost a bit. I expect hotels to provide professionally colour printed city maps with attractions clearly indicated.
Room - We got a room on the top floor with a slanted ceiling. Try not to get this room especially if you are tall (I was short and had to be careful not to hit my head). The room is outfitted with modern furnishings and is clean, neat and bare. However it felt cold and hard - not cosy at all. It was too chilly for my liking. Blinds (including those in the bathroom) seemed inadequate. There was nowhere to hang a bath towel within easy reach from the shower.
